    Middle of the road litter

By MGcats on Sep 22, 2020

We've tried almost a dozen different kinds of non-clumping litter since our 23-year-old developed issues with clumping litter. This one is definitely not the best, but definitely not the worst of them either. Urine odor control is good, on par with any other crystal litter and better than Dr Elsey's We've tried almost a dozen different kinds of non-clumping litter since our 23-year-old developed issues with clumping litter. This one is definitely not the best, but definitely not the worst of them either. Urine odor control is good, on par with any other crystal litter and better than Dr Elsey's. Fecal odor control is terrible, the worst of any of the crystal litters. It doesn't seem to dry it out as fast as other crystal litters, and the whole house would smell within minutes of a litter box visit. The particles are all different sizes ranging from tiny pebbles to larger pebbles. None of them are the fine grained sand like the Dr Elsey's crystal litters. They are rounded, though which I thought might be nicer on the cats' paws then jagged pieces. Unfortunately, it also means they roll all over the place. The cats track it a LOT, and I find it all over the house, far, far away from the litter boxes. At least the jagged pieces of other litters tracked just a few feet from the litter boxes. We'll be dumping this one before it's really used up, just because it's too annoying. We'll go back to ScoopFree blue until we can find one better. … more

    Almost perfect!

This crystal litter was low dust and stayed clean, fragrance free to avoid uti’s and my kitty didn’t fling it everywhere either. It has large pieces that dont track very far out of the littler box but the only issue I had was the cute little pearls that are in the littler bounce like bouncy balls, so they would bounce and roll far when tracked out of the littler box ( tile floors). That being the only issue, I would buy this litter again because it sifted through the scooper well and performed well. I changed it after 2 weeks however, not an entire month. Also a good litter mat would probably solve the bouncing pearl issue :)

    Really underwhelmed

I bought this stuff thinking it was going to be the bee's knees, but it ended up stinking after less than two weeks! I've been researching different litter types because my elderly cat is in the early stages of kidney disease. This means she drinks a lot of water and pees a lot, and our old standby (a leading brand of wheat litter) wasn't dealing with the smell very well anymore. I found some article about "best cat litter" on the internet and this was listed #1 for effectiveness and value, and so I expected a lot - and it was great for the first 7-10 days. So easy to just scoop out the poop and stir everything around, which I did 1-2 times/day. But when this litter gets yellow and saturated I bought this stuff thinking it was going to be the bee's knees, but it ended up stinking after less than two weeks! I don't think even buying a bag twice a month would be enough to keep up with the odor. My kitty herself smells bad now, just from being in an enclosed box with that litter. I think I'll go back to all-natural clumping litters and just try a different kind, like pine or grass or something. Probably if you have a cat who doesn't pee all the time, this litter would last longer - but still, I can't imagine this stuff controlling odors for a month. … more

    Tried it, wouldn't buy again

Lots of big jagged crystal chunks mixed in with the "pearls". Tracks everywhere and just isn't worth the price.

    Crystal Litter

    By on

Chewy was out of stock of the Micro Crystals and I had to order the Ultra Pearls but my Princesses were hesitant to use it cause the Crystals were too sharp and course. It seemed like it hurt their paw pads. They like the micro litter better. The only thing that I found fault with the Pearls was that it would scatter after use and was a bit difficult to clean up.

    Rolls all over the place

    By on

Seems to control the smell but it sticks in their paws easily and makes it out of the box frequently and then, since it is round, it rolls EVERYWHERE! I've even found it in the kitchen 25' away from the box. Even twice daily sweeping doesn't keep it in check. And it hurts when you step on it.

    Great Litter

Very absorbent, very low to no dust. I would recommend this product. The granules are a little big and sometimes don’t fall back through the sifter, but it’s still way better than clay litter or the micro crystal version of this brand.

    no mess litter

    By on

This is a new kind of litter option. NO dust! NO clumping. NO tracking dust all over furniture and paws. Super lightweight. And lasts. I really like this. Still have to sweep a little but not as much and the pearls still do get out a little and like to roll but that's what the vacuum is for. I can go longer without sweeping and floor lasts longer cleaner. Cat's are curious at first but there getting used to it. But you do have to take the actual poop out it doesn't get burried but it's easier and a lot less garbadge. No litter bag heavey and full of feces to throw away. I love it. And no odor from urine. however does from poop cause that has to be thrown away. but not a big deal.

    Best for my diabetic cat

    By on

This is the best and most affordable per pound I have found that works for my cat. It literally dries up all the pee and reduces her odor which is strong due to diet. Highly recommend!
