    Middle of the road litter

By MGcats on Sep 22, 2020

We've tried almost a dozen different kinds of non-clumping litter since our 23-year-old developed issues with clumping litter. This one is definitely not the best, but definitely not the worst of them either. Urine odor control is good, on par with any other crystal litter and better than Dr Elsey's We've tried almost a dozen different kinds of non-clumping litter since our 23-year-old developed issues with clumping litter. This one is definitely not the best, but definitely not the worst of them either. Urine odor control is good, on par with any other crystal litter and better than Dr Elsey's. Fecal odor control is terrible, the worst of any of the crystal litters. It doesn't seem to dry it out as fast as other crystal litters, and the whole house would smell within minutes of a litter box visit. The particles are all different sizes ranging from tiny pebbles to larger pebbles. None of them are the fine grained sand like the Dr Elsey's crystal litters. They are rounded, though which I thought might be nicer on the cats' paws then jagged pieces. Unfortunately, it also means they roll all over the place. The cats track it a LOT, and I find it all over the house, far, far away from the litter boxes. At least the jagged pieces of other litters tracked just a few feet from the litter boxes. We'll be dumping this one before it's really used up, just because it's too annoying. We'll go back to ScoopFree blue until we can find one better. … more

    pretty good!

i have two cats and was recommended crystal litter by a friend. going from clay litter to this was nice, as this is dust free and unscented. it absorbs urine instead of clumping, and it’s easy to clean since you just have to scoop out poop. there are a few cons though: - the crystals are just large enough that they tend to get scooped with the poop. they also are still easy to track out of the box, and then get spread everywhere. the little silicon balls are just large enough my kittens think they’re toys. - the litter doesn’t work for the full month as advertised. with two boxes for two cats i was hopeful, but i can usually get three weeks out of the litter before it starts smelling really i have two cats and was recommended crystal litter by a friend. going from clay litter to this was nice, as this is dust free and unscented. it absorbs urine instead of clumping, and it’s easy to clean since you just have to scoop out poop. there are a few cons though: - the crystals are just large enough that they tend to get scooped with the poop. they also are still easy to track out of the box, and then get spread everywhere. the little silicon balls are just large enough my kittens think they’re toys. - the litter doesn’t work for the full month as advertised. with two boxes for two cats i was hopeful, but i can usually get three weeks out of the litter before it starts smelling really bad. and when it happens, it happens FAST. the crystals stop absorbing and get all yellow and saturated, and urine starts pooling at the bottom of the boxes. gross. overall i like this litter. it’s definitely better than dusty, smelly clay litter, and i feel better for my cats health. … more

favorite crystal litter for top-loading box

    By on

We have tried nearly every brand available and this particular product works the best for our mod-box , top loader. It tracks the least and a bag and a half tends to last our two cats up to 2 1/2 weeks!

    Almost perfect!

This crystal litter was low dust and stayed clean, fragrance free to avoid uti’s and my kitty didn’t fling it everywhere either. It has large pieces that dont track very far out of the littler box but the only issue I had was the cute little pearls that are in the littler bounce like bouncy balls, so they would bounce and roll far when tracked out of the littler box ( tile floors). That being the only issue, I would buy this litter again because it sifted through the scooper well and performed well. I changed it after 2 weeks however, not an entire month. Also a good litter mat would probably solve the bouncing pearl issue :)

    no mess litter

    By on

This is a new kind of litter option. NO dust! NO clumping. NO tracking dust all over furniture and paws. Super lightweight. And lasts. I really like this. Still have to sweep a little but not as much and the pearls still do get out a little and like to roll but that's what the vacuum is for. I can go longer without sweeping and floor lasts longer cleaner. Cat's are curious at first but there getting used to it. But you do have to take the actual poop out it doesn't get burried but it's easier and a lot less garbadge. No litter bag heavey and full of feces to throw away. I love it. And no odor from urine. however does from poop cause that has to be thrown away. but not a big deal.

    One of the good ones

I like this litter. There is some dust when you fill, so do it in a ventilated area. I pour about 1 foot from the box and there is still some dust. This litter doesn’t interfere with my cats breathing and make him cough like most others do. It’s different but as long as you keep it stirred daily, you’re good for a month!

The best part is the odor control

    By on

Great for odor control (assuming you scoop the poop each day). I think the stray crystals are harder on bare feet than others I've tried but I am too pleased to try any other litter.

the best litter out there, but still "dusty"

    By on

This is by far my favorite litter. It makes cleanup a breeze. And the tiny bit my cat does manage to track are large enough to see and hand vac up quickly. They don't get buried in carpet or stuck to you. I think the people who say it still smells must not be cleaning their cats litter as often as it should be (1-2x DAILY please)! Would you want to use a dirty bathroom??? And cats noses are even more sensitive than ours...I scoop minimum 1x/day and swirl the pee crystals per instructions and never have a smell issue (been using this for 1 year). My only complaint is that my cat is very sensitive to dust and I know this is TECHNICALLY "dust free" but it has a visible cloud of silicate residue/ This is by far my favorite litter. My only complaint is that my cat is very sensitive to dust and I know this is TECHNICALLY "dust free" but it has a visible cloud of silicate residue/dust that fills the air whenever you pour it, and whenever my cat digs it makes him sneeze. Apparently "dust" has a specific definition and they get to claim this as "dust free", but anytime I refill, I HAVE to turn on the air purifier and overhead exhaust fan just to clear the particles from the air. It even makes me sneeze, and feels heavy in my lungs if I accidentally inhale. So while it's the best so far, I am still searching for a litter that is healthier for me and my kitty. … more
