After a few days my 8lbs Mini Golden-Mountain Doodle puppy figured out by pushing on the hinge he could open the gate enough to get by. Good idea but wished there was a way to lock the positions in. Overall does a poor job of keeping him out of the living room.

It works real well and attractive as well, keeps puppy from getting into trouble...

Nice free standing gate. Very sturdy and looks nice too. Would buy again.

This gate is very heavy, not easy to move from place to place, tips over easily and both of my dogs were able to nose their way out on either side....so not effective at all for my purposes. When gate falls the dogs can be easily hurt and their paws get caught in the slats. this may work for small dogs....

This free standing gate is just what I needed to keep my Havanese puppy Luna confined to a safe area. The panels slide easily on my tile floor allowing access for my 2 legged friends but holds steady when Luna tries to cross the boundary. It's very attractive and easy to assemble (adding the feet to the base is necessary for stability). My only complaint--our burly cat can push his way in which makes it easy for my puppy to get in or out. A cement paver to anchor the gate eliminated that problem.

I bought this gate to keep my rescue pup away from my Peloton when I ride. I should have gotten a taller one, but this one still does the job. The gate is stable, easy to position. I don't like the look of plastic baby gates, and my space was wider than a baby gate anyway, so this was perfect. As always, Chewy's customer service is TOP NOTCH!

Nice looking barrier for my staircase. It is free standing like the description says. However, you have to bend the side panels to stabilize its staying in position.

Very pleased with the gate I chose. It’s nice and solid, good quality and constructed very well. I would purchase this gate again.

Bought by my owner to keep us out of trouble. We managed to escape using other gates but have not figured this one out yet. Great purchase for our guardian.

The gate looks great and the one panel can open as a door and it’s study room. Well Worth the money.
