Is this made of engineered wood or solid wood?
Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2021
This litter box is made of engineered wood.

what tools are required to assemble
Answer by ChewyFeb 22, 2022
A philips screwdriver is required for assembly.

What is engineered wood? I bought a wooden enclosure and I loved it but when she misses the litter box inside, the wood is getting saturated. Is this engineered wood something I can scrub down like with a vinyl coating?
Answer by ChewyNov 17, 2021
Engineered wood is made of fibreboard and pressed wood. It can be wiped with a semi-wet cloth.

does this come with a litter box, or do you buy one separately?
Answer by ChewyAug 01, 2021
This furniture does not include a litter box.

worst piece of furniture I’ve ever purchased

I’ve literally had this thing less than a month and it’s already broken beyond repair. I moved it once to get it in the room after I built it and then only slightly side to side to clean underneath it because it’s raised up and kitty litter gets under it. It was falling apart 2 weeks in but I kind of kept it together and now it’s just completely broken and the hard ware keeping it together is breaking. But it’s literally held together by wooden dowels so I don’t know why I thought it would actually stay together. I’m incredibly disappointed because I dropped over 100$ on this thing to not even last two months.

Nice looking but....

Nice looking piece of furniture doubling as a litter box hideaway. Unfortunately it is flimsy and completely fell apart...all the pieces collapsed! None of them broke so I was able to put it back together with some strong glue in all the connections and along all board seams. Looks good as new! I also recommend painting the inside bottom with water proof paint and caulking bottom seams in case of any any accidents.

absolutely awful

I bought this for my car and to use as a night stand; the assembly seemed fairly easy especially compared to a lot of different things I have built but that quickly ended shortly. The sizing was all wrong, some of the pieces/ holes are uneven thus not allowing me to be able to put it together entirely properly. I knew this was frustrating but I was willing to look past the wonky edges. As soon as I picked it up to love it into my bedroom from the living room all of it fell apart, parts breaking inside the holes, etc. I also was missing some of the hardware on top of it. I do not recommend this at all, you can find a lot better for much cheaper. I’m greatly disappointed.

Very sleek cabinet

This is a very smart looking cabinet. It's the perfect size to fit a large liter box and the cats use it right away. Be careful when you are putting it together you put the doors on the right way.

Not worth the cost or safe

Easy to assemble, but pieces broke easily and often. Area connected by dowel joints went right through the sides even though not forced. Luckily extra dowels were included as even two of those snapped in half with gentle connection. It’s been 5 days since assembly and the cabinet still smells of chemical coating. Not using, plus need to repair holes on outside that knocked off coating and probably harmful fumes. Without the back 4 tiny joint connectors whole thing wobbles. With the connectors still wobbly, but less so. If you have a 10lbs and over cat or multiple cats avoid as it will not hold up. Super pricey for such extremely poor quality. Don’t bother trying to use the shelf as not stable enough.

Mostly satisfied

I've attempted many enclosed litter contraptions and have yet to find the perfect enclosure. They all have their drawbacks, but this one was one of the better options. It was easy to put together. The instructions were clear and it took about 20 minutes. The cabinet is nice looking and solid. I thought the opening on either end would be a good thing so you could decide where you could situate it without regard to the opening. That is until i found urine on the floor - twice. I should have looked at the dimensions prior to purchasing. My large, tall sided box didn't fit so i had to purchase a new litter pan. it was 1/2" wider than the enclosure, but i was able to use it as it was flexible enough to bend when the doors were shut, and the magnets on the doors hold firmly. However, because the sides of the box are lower and there is an opening at the back of the box, "somebody" overshot the box and saturated the floor. I purchased wee-wee pads (chux pads) that i used to line the bottom, but now i have to use an additional one to cover the opening in the back. The side doors make it much easier to access the interior in order to clean the pan and also arrange the pads. I just wish someone would invent a cabinet that is large enough to accomodate a tall sided, large pan and have some way to line the interior to protect from accidents. I'm keeping this and will come up with a way to make changing the pads easier. Maybe I'll install some interior command hooks to attach the pads.
