Does the neck strap have any flotation material to help the dog keep his head above water?

The entire vest is filled with a high buoyancy foam keeps your pet above water. It also has bright yellow details that keep him visible even at a distance, adjustable neck and girth fasteners, a reinforced handle for guidance or lifting, and a D-ring that lets you easily attach a leash.
How do you measure the dog so they get the right fit

Navigate to the "Size" tab beneath the product photos. To select the best size we recommend that you measure your dog's girth. If the dog happens to be in between sizes, it's best to select the bigger size.

Very Well Made

This life jacket is really well made. The adjustable fit is nice and feels secure, it's not too bulky, it has a nice handle on the top as well as a place to clip a leash. I haven't been able to get to water with it on him yet, but I have no concerns over using it once I do.

Did NOT work!!

Did not provide any buoyancy and my dogs head kept going under water. The item fit well, but acted more like a harness than a life vest.

Great dog vest

Chewy really helped me out with this. I couldn't find a vest that I could attach a leash to. It's really necessary for my little runner. This fits the bill.

Swim Vest Is The Best

This vest is perfect for my dog who is now an avid swimmer after starting off with the vest. It fits him just right and is easy to put on. It has the handle on the back for guiding your swimmer. The even better part is that I ordered the vest in medium and it was too small for my skinny black shepherd so I called to exchange it and they made the process so easy and I had the large one 2 days! We were ready to hit the water!

Perfect fit

I have two yellow labs that weigh between 70-80lbs. I tried to find vests that fit them. XL's in other brands wouldn't even velcro around the belly. Finding a vest to fit was difficult. The fit is great with this vest. And I am proud to say my son is a Sergeant in the Army. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the Army vest!

The medium size life jacket fit well on my 26 lb Boston Terrier. He seemed comfortable in it for the canoe rides.

fits securely and comfortably

My Lolly wears the large and is ready for a summer of sailing. The life jacket is easy to put on and is secure. Even with her size, the handle on the back is nice and strong. Good looking jacket!
