how high is the opening?
Answer by RoscoeJun 15, 2022
Opening threshold is 8-1/2 inches above the surface the box sits on. The opening dimensions are 8" high and 8-1/4 inch wide. Plenty big for my cats that were as much as 17 lbs in weight.

Does the large come in blue

Is the door removable?
Answer by ChewyNov 03, 2022
The door flap can be removed if needed.

Is the extra large big enough for a 3 cat household, or would you recommend getting 2?
Answer by ChewyMar 22, 2019
Ideally, a multi-cat household should have the same number of litter boxes as the number of cats, plus one extra box. I would recommend a litter box for each cat. If that's not possible, then two would be the better choice.

Good, but could be better

I have a lot of cats and a lot of student boxes. I have several cats that pee high, so I needed some better enclosed boxes for them, mainly larger enclosed boxes. This one seemed to be a good option. Easy to tuck into a corner and prevents peeing over the box. However, whoever designed this really didn't take into consideration cats who pee high. There is a separation in the back part for no particular reason. It's basically a pocket to catch pee. It's gross. Urine pools in the pocket and when you unlatch and open the box to clean it urine will drip into the floor from behind the box. There is literally no reason for this pocket to be there and seems to only server to catch urine. I like everything else about the box. I should also note that I don't use the flap entry. My cats don't like flap doors, so I didn't put it on.

Cheap Construction

We're disappointed with this purchase. The litter box is cheaply constructed. The lid clamps do not properly secure the lid to the base, and the clamp securing tabs look like they're melted or broken. We got the same product from another vendor which we've been using for years. We bought this to have a second one and to replace our lidless box, however the handle on this cannot be used to lift the box as designed because the lid latches detach from the base with any movement.

yes, it works, but not great

Yes, it works in the sense that it holds litter and my cats do their business in it. but the latches that hold the lid in tact are horrible. 1 of 4 of them latched once (the back right corner) and now it doesn't latch at all. The other 3 are functional, for now, but I don't know for how much longer. The sticker on the door won't come off in one piece (who wants to use the toilet in the dark?) and now the cover has litter stuck to it because the sticker didn't fully come off. For the price, it's adequate, but there are way better covered litter pans out there for not a whole lot more money than this one.

Poor Quality

This litter box is very flimsy. When you try to move it does not stay together. Also, I am constantly fixing the door. It does not swing properly and then falls off or unlatches from its hooks. It even sometimes falls completely off in to the litter, which is gross. Also, because of the door problem, the litter does not always stay completely in the container. I would not recommend or buys this again.

my cats dont like it

bought this hoping i would have less litter waste all over the floor. but my cats refuse to use it .. i even took the hood off just to have taller sides. and they still refuse to use it ... other then that , just a typical hooded litterbox . would be nice for those who have cats that arent scared of everything.

Poor Quality

We purchased two new boxes to replace the boxes previously purchased in Nov. 2020. We were amazed at the significant decline in quality. One of the handles popped off a lid in shipment, and will no longer stay in place. The hinges on the lid will not engage with the bottom section. Since our cats do not do change, we are forced to mix and match old bottom and new top in an effort to get a complete unit. Super disappointed.

Just ok boxes

I have two cats that must have their own boxes, these seemed perfect, dome design, same color, same size, etc. I really like them however the latches on the side don't latch very good at all. Its not bad enough to return them, since my cats have already used them also, so I will push forward and consider it another learning experience about cat boxes.

Terrible and it is cheaply made

This is a small liter box, not large like it said and the flap in the front does not work. The flap is what I like to help keep the smell down. Very disappointed on this item that I just received today. Buyer beware.

It's great

It's a great size for my growing house panther but my only complaint is the door latch is maybe faulty? The door sits slightly to the left so it catches sometimes which is annoying for not only me but the house panther himself

great just one small problem

I’m happy that it makes the odor less bad and it actually keep the litter off the floor. I don’t regret buying this it was a great purchase. But one problem is that the door keeps falling off so I have to keep putting it back on. When the door falls off I smell the odor until I put it back on. But overall great product.
