Not The Best Design
By Melissa on Feb 16, 2021
I didn’t realize at first that the design of the litter box is not scooper friendly. I have multiple cats and they pee at the back of their litter boxes. I ordered this box for my senior cat who is kept separate from my other 3 cats. She is about 6.5 - 7 pounds, so the size of the box is not the issue. The back of the box has 90 degree corners on either side that protrude to the inside of the box. So I’m having to scoop damp, urine clumped litter from around these back edges/ corners. The front of the box is rounded and smooth, which is easier to scoop/ clean, but like I said, she doesn’t pee in the front. I’ve tried rotating the top/ hood so that the back of the box would be the rounded and I didn’t realize at first that the design of the litter box is not scooper friendly. I’m familiar with poor designs. … more

Didn't work for us
By Gypsyheart48 on Feb 1, 2021
We bought two of these jumbo pans because one of the boys sprayed over the lower one and it went on the rug. Took windows off, But this didn't work for us because one of them we don't know which one got very upset about being enclosed and he made a BM on the bed. Yuck. The boys are seven and eight and have never done this before. So what we did was take the tops off and now there's no problem. It was a one time accident. So I looked it up & I read that some cats do not like to be enclosed like that while using the pan because they like to see another cat approaching them. Probably true with our boys, because one of them is a little bit aggressive. But it's not a total loss, these are very large We bought two of these jumbo pans because one of the boys sprayed over the lower one and it went on the rug. Small Van Ness Enclosed Cat Litter Pan
By BeachBum on Feb 17, 2021
We bought two specifically for small areas in our house and it worked out just fine. Our ten year old kitty has congestive heart failure and is on medication that makes her urniate more often. We wanted to place additional litter boxes in smaller spaces to accomodate her and maker her more comfortable.

Perfect size! Yet door fell off and defective
By Ellie on Feb 11, 2021
This Box is the perfect height for my two cats and width (not as large width wise as many), entry is a bit higher than the Whisker City Box we had yet manageable for my cats. Great box. Unfortunately the door was defective and broke off. Chewy was kind to send a replacement. I’m hopeful this door will be more secure as my cats have a lot more room height wise to do their business—who wants cramped quarters!

Fantastic!
By Amanda on Feb 22, 2021
This litter boxes have cut down so much on litter tracked all over our house! I can’t recommend them enough. They are really affordable and have improved things so much! Side note: I do not bother with the doors on the entrance. I keep them in case they’re ever needed, but it’s easier for my fur babies to go in and out with out them on.

Would’ve been five stars except. . .

Great litter box for my three foundlings, BUT, why oh why must companies keep putting stickers on important parts of the product that CANNOT be removed save by nuclear options?! Giant stickers saying nothing particularly useful that couldn’t also be said by a recyclable paper tucked into the box make readying the box for use more nightmare than ease. Great Litter Box
By JPhillips on Jan 11, 2021
I bought this for my new addition to my family. She had lived over a year and a half as a stray in the apartment complex that I moved into a few months before ordering the litter box. She was pregnant so she did not fit within the rules for pets at the complex. After finding a local rescue that found her a foster family for her pregnancy and the weening of her kittens, and had been spayed and given her shots by the rescue I adopted her. Since I already had another cat I purchased this as a second litter box so that I could keep her isolated in my bedroom until the two cats had the opportunity to get to know each other. Since she was not used to a flip door, I have not use it, but even without it there were no odors coming from her litter box. Since then the two are now buddies and I moved the litter box into the spare bedroom (aka the cat room). I am still using both litter boxes but, when and if I do decide to get rid of one it will be the old litter box. What makes this litter box the better of the two is the high front of the bottom section, keeping more loss litter inside the box. I also like that the base is completely squared making it easier to scoop used litter in the corners of the litter box. I would definitely recommend this litter box. … more

Van Ness covered litterbox
By Callie on Feb 10, 2021
I gave this 3 stars. It is suitable for small cats, under 8 lbs. I used for 2 weeks and had to tape along the rim to keep pee from getting in between top/bottom sections. Was a struggle having to scoop from the entrance opening. A much better choice for larger cats (and ones that pee above the rim) is the Cat-it brand. Clamps top/ bottom tight.

Nice litter box
By KittenMom on Jan 25, 2021
One of my kittens is an enthusiastic digger and started piling litter against the side of the box and lid. The new box is much deeper and keeps the litter within the box. I wish it were larger, but the large one is bright blue. I have the box in the corner of my kitchen at a basement door and don’t want the blue! The plastic is not as heavy as my old box but that’s no problem. This box solved my problem at a great price, and was delivered in 2 days.

Easy clean up
By Kenzee on Feb 11, 2021
At first, I was concerned the clips weren't strong enough to hold the lid in place when I picked the litter box up by the top handle but they are. The only bad thing is the door doesn't close all the way so the smell of poo still escapes the litter box but it's not as bad as previous closed litter boxes I've used before!
