  • Works as described but.........

    By on

Item works as described but litter box is too small and sides not high enough, litter all over the floor every time they used it. I gave it to a relative to try with her cat and same results. Good concept so possibly if it would be bigger (maybe even covered) would give it another try

  • Too messy and more work

    By on

This ends up being more work that just scooping out the clumps . Litter goes all over the floor because you have to transfer it twice. It sticks to the holes. It definitely is better to use the Arm and Hammer Slide litter but still not as easy as I had hoped.

  • THE END OF SCOOPING!

    By on

I BOUGHT THIS PAN, TO SWITCH OVER FROM NORMAL CAT LITTER (PEE YEW) TO PINE LITTER, BUT BEFORE I USED THE PINE LITTER, I DUMPED THEIR NORMAL CAT LITTER BOX IN, AND SIFTED ALL THE NASTIES OUT. IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN EASIER. I HAVE ORDERED ANOTHER THIS MONTH SO THEY CAN HAVE A CHOICE AS TO WHAT THEY WANT TO USE.

  • it's a okay product

    By on

Van Ness sifting litter box is a good product, it was a little small if it was a couple inches longer and made with stronger material I would have gave it a five-star, and the materials that it's made from is very flimsy when you pick it up to empty feels like it might crack, for the money it should have been made a little stronger but it saves me a lot of time I'm still happy with it even though there are some issues. thank you.

  • Good litter box

    By on

I really like this litter box, it makes scooping/cleaning SO much easier. I don't find it hard to use at all. My only complaints are that if you don't have enough litter in it, sometimes it will clump to the sifter, and when that happens I usually just grab something out of the trash and clean it off with it. And second, my cat kicks litter out like crazy, the back is just a little too low to prevent her from displacing everything.

  • Perfect for Feline Pine

    By on

I was looking for a sifting cat litter pan to use with Feline Pine and that had edges, my cat doesn't like to sit when he goes :( This works great! You should sell it with the intent to use it with pellet litter not just clumping. I do wish you made one with a bit higher sides but, it still works. I may just buy another for my upstairs litter box :)

  • Don't throw your scooper away just yet....

    By on

This pan is very small and shallow. I've had to scrape off clumps from this pan. It's also more messy to clean. I appreciate the concept. Not for me and I would not recommend it.

  • Good size!!!

    By on

It’s a good size, not to big and not too small. It comes with two containers, the only disappointing issue in s the main feature! It’s very uncomfortable to use it as advertised to dispose of litter, it gets very messy!!!

  • Works, but use it differently than reccomended

    By on

ok, so this works GREAT, the problem is, the manufacturer has no idea how it works, haha! so what you do, is put the litter in a solid tray, then put the sifting tray under that tray, then put the second solid tray under that, and clip on the top. then let it sit for a day and your cat does it's business. then unclip it, take your full, dirty, litter tray, and lift it and pour that into the sifter tray (with the clean pan underneath it). so now you have not-clumped-to-the-sifter litter ready to be sifted. now sift (gently shake the litter through), and the clean litter is now in the bottom tray, the clumps are in the sifter to be disposed of, and the tray you poured out can go on the bottom ok, so this works GREAT, the problem is, the manufacturer has no idea how it works, haha! so what you do, is put the litter in a solid tray, then put the sifting tray under that tray, then put the second solid tray under that, and clip on the top. then let it sit for a day and your cat does it's business. then unclip it, take your full, dirty, litter tray, and lift it and pour that into the sifter tray (with the clean pan underneath it). so now you have not-clumped-to-the-sifter litter ready to be sifted. now sift (gently shake the litter through), and the clean litter is now in the bottom tray, the clumps are in the sifter to be disposed of, and the tray you poured out can go on the bottom to become the clean tray. and re-assemble in the same way. so it's solid tray, sifter, solid tray. NOT sifter, solid tray, solid tray. I have no idea why the manufacturer thinks it will work the other way, it obviously will not, because litter clumps, that's the whole idea. … more

  • Messy. sides too low

    By on

Almost works as promised- but make sure you don't use clumping litter as it sticks to the screen. Also my cats are used to high sides and there is a lot MORE sand getting out of the sides as these are not very high. Idea good- would like pans with higher sides to save on cleaning. And it should be labeled to use non-clumping sand , otherwise you will be scraping it off the bottom,
