    Simple, Pleasantly Surprised

    By on

I got two of these; honestly, because they were cheap. I had every intention of replacing them within a month. But I was quite pleasantly surprised at the quality and how DEEP they are. It was kind of worrisome when I read it could only hold 3 cups but it's the perfect measure for our large breed who eats 2 cups 3 times a day. And without a mat (yet), our boy knocks these around a lot. I mean, they've taken a beating! But there's no scratches, knicks or anything on em to prove it. They're VERY durable, and easy to wash. I would absolutely recommend these bowls to anyone and intend on keeping them around for quite some time!

    Measurements Not Accurate

    By on Top 500 Contributor

We just ordered 3 Van Ness bowls -- one 8 cup and two 4 cup. The four cup only holds a little over two cups, and the 8 cup only holds four cups. Thus, we're now using the one 8 cup for our dog who needs 4 cups, and we've resigned to ordering two more bowls. The positive is that they seem to be well made and the stickers on the inside of the bowls don't have industrial strength adhesive as some of the other bowls we've purchased in the past. We will be donating the two 4 cup bowls we purchased. Overall I wouldn't recommend simply because it's too difficult to tell what size you need.

Everyone should use stainless steel bowls.

    By on

All pet owners should use stainless steel bowls, especially for cats. They are non porous bowls as they prevent sharing of colds, prevention of chin acne and all around better. These bowls are the best priced bowls around. The largest one is great for my three big dogs.

    Good size bowl

    By on Top 500 Contributor

5/5 packaging 5/5 size 3/5 durability I needed a larger size water bowl for my dog and this looked like it was worth trying. I got the 64 oz and it's a pretty decent size bowl an It doesn't slide around to much either.

    10 of these yes please

    By on

Great cheap food bowls that fit my raised feeder. I only gave 4 stars because one bowl(out of the 5 I ordered) started to rust underneath on the lip. This isn’t near where they eat though so it’s ok. I do put the bowls in the dishwasher also and they are holding up well.

    Very pleased

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I have raised feeders for my 42 Foster cats and needed new 6 inch bowls to fit into them. I have always bought bowls with rubber on the bottom and these do not, but my raised feeders keep these bowls in place. I now ordered more so I can change bowls regularly. I wash them by hand or in the dishwasher and there is no sign of rust. These would not be very skit proof, but are great inside my raised feeders. The 32oz bowl is actually 3" high and not 2.38 as stated in the Description.

    Nice but light

    By on

They are very nice bowls, a bit deep for smaller dogs, but they do okay with them. A small draw back is that they are very light, anyone with a bigger dog may have a problem with the bowl sliding around the flooring lol

    Adhesive on inside of bowl

    By on

The bowl itself is nice, but I just spent a half hour unsuccessfully trying to scrape the adhesive from the sticker off the inside (the eating surface!) of the bowl. Tried using oil and baking soda and a scrubby sponge, and it's still stuck inside. I'm worried it could be unhealthy for my pet. Chewy, why are you putting stickers on the eating surface? Please stop!
