I recently set up an outdoor space for Pete, my strictly indoor cat, on the deck. He spends about 2 hours a day in a large, wire dog crate furnished with sunbathing and birdwatching essentials. The "Vesper Stool" is a perfect addition. It was an amazing value and Pete loves it. The "Stool" is solid wood, very sturdy, super-easy to assemble and the pads on the top and inside bottom are attached by velcro; they're a snap to take off and wash. I highly recommend this product.
Although I believe this is for kittens, it will fit an adult cat comfortably. I bought this for our adult cat that likes to look out the front door window. We needed something that could reasonably fit in the space as it's just a door then stairs. Took her a while but once she figured out it was for her, she started using it every day! The top pillow is a very soft memory foam too!
This cat tree is perfect for a small space and like all Vesper products very well made!
I don't know whether this is a good substitute for the scratching post I had before because I haven't noticed Minou using it. She has jumped onto the top and gotten toys off to play with, so she's not ignoring it. Time will tell. I haven't noticed her scratching other things, so maybe she's using it.
