Works Fast
Living in a rural area in SW FL, my little Yorkie girl picks up all types of stuff from the wildlife. She is on Nexgard. While it seems to stop the active fleas from crawling all over her, she has clumps of parasites that seem to burrow into the skin on her face and around her ears with alot of scratching going on. The only thing that helped was the original Shapley's MTG solution and that is very greasy and what the vet suggested (antibiotic ointment) did not work. In just one use, the parasite clumps became loose enough that I could cut them away from her skin. The scratching stopped and we will continue to use as directed to keep them from coming back.
Good stuff
I have used this shampoo for a number of years for my greyhounds to control skin irritations. Good news is, its just as effective for creepy crawlies. Also leaves the coat soft and no lasting medicinal smell.
Works Great!
It seemed to help decrease some of my dogs itching. It has a strong odor as you bathe your dog, but the odor isnt strong once your dog dries.
Caused a Bad Rash
Both of my dogs broke out in a bad rash after using the shampoo… it must be a bad batch because I’ve used this for years and now they are both getting treatment for the rash and hopefully will be resolved soon

I got this because my dog was having some kind of reaction to something. He was miserably red and itchy, and had a couple of patches where his fur fell out on his face, tummy, and leg. (In the picture of him you can see where there’s a patch of fur missing on his cheek.) This happened very quickly and I had no idea what to do. I did some research and found this, and after one bath I could tell he felt much better. I repeated the process as directed and his condition improved dramatically. The itch went away and his fur grew back. Still not sure why it happened or what he could have been allergic to, but this cleared it up and it hasn’t happened again since!
Bad Reaction
When I used this on my dog her skin got very pink and inflamed and she was freaking out. That is how my dog reacted but Im finding she has sensitive skin so perhaps it would be different for a different dog. For my dog it wasnt good and was one star.
This Stuff DOES Work!
My long coat GSD got Sebboreia, as a reaction to the Soresto collar. I tried this stuff and it does work! Initially you have to use it every other day, which can be a real chore with long hair dogs unfortunately. But, after about 10 days the huge flakes were gone.
Nothing works better!
My dog has multiple food allergies, I have tried multiple times to switch from a fresh diet to dry for convenience and failed miserably each time. She develops sores that scab, itch, and smell terrible. The last food change caused the worst reaction I have seen yet. She had all of the above symptoms and horrible dandruff. I tried anti fungal/ anti bacterial shampoos and nothing helped completely. I tried this shampoo as a last resort and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I used once every 3 days for 15 minutes for 2 weeks. I saw drastic changes after the second wash. Her sores started disappearing, the smell was gone, and the flaking improved. By the second week she has a normal coat, everything is healed, no scabs or dandruff. This shampoo is a miracle! I will continue to use this forever for maintenance! And never change her diet again. The shampoo is easy to lather and leaves hair soft. It doesn’t seem to dry the skin out or cause any sensitivity for my super sensitive girl.
