Well, my Akita Spits them out! NO Matter what I wrap this huge hunk of treat! Have y'all tried to put this big medicine chunk down Any dogs throat? They are left in his bowl when he's through with his food... Everything! Oh, I've gotten them down by breaking them to pieces. But then I go from 4 to 20!!! Resize them please! And he still SCOOTS!!!
I've been using these a few years but I still have to take my dog in to have her glands expressed. It's possible it would be worse without them. I trust the brand and I still use them so I guess I think they do help. My dog is almost 12 years old and didn't have thus issue when she was younger. I'd say it's worth trying. My dog likes the taste and you can easily break them up into food if needed.
My dog loved the taste of these, but she isn't picky and loves eating anything. I was hoping these would help with her scooting problem but they didn't change at all and I'm at the end of the bag, so I won't be repurchasing. They cost way to much for me to not see a noticeable difference, if they worked I would gladly pay.
I was skeptical but thought it was worth a try. I started using a half dose, per the instructions, for my 60 pound Golden. We have seen great results and I never had to increase to the full dose. The product is pricey but it saves us the trip to the vet and the bad smell in between visits, plus it saves our dog any discomfort she may have had.
This product has really helped our Misty. It takes a couple weeks to really kick in but she's definitely much better. She occasionally has some stinky smells but the Glandex Wipes work great!
Purchased when vet recommended trying a fiber supplement. Gave lady lots of gas and did not help her poop issues. Actually made the situation worse. Ask your vet for a recommendation.
I got this for my dog because her glands are always so full when I take her to the groomers. I had her on this for 2 months there was no improvement at all. I told the groomer I giving this to my dog and she said she had tried it with her dog and it didn't work for her dog either.
I ordered these chews for our middle pug as they work fabulous to prevent gland problems and impaction. We have been using them for about a year now.
My younger dog was having to have his glands expressed every 6 weeks or so and was miserable. Pumpkin wasn't helping so the vet recommended Glandex. We haven't had to make a vet tech appointment for his butt since. The glandex is a bit more expensive than the regular vet tech visits, but my dog is much happier.
A full recovery from butt scooting and she does not lick her paws anymore. I cannot imagine the anxiety she was living with. I am so thankful for this product
