  • Works - but bad taste

    By on

True rating: 3.5 stars. After two weeks of consistent daily application, my dog's breath is 95% better, gums less red and irritated. It definitely seems to do what it is supposed to. I REALLY wish it came in a flavor that my dog liked - she will eat anything, no matter how foul, but this is the first thing I've ever put in her mouth where she scrunches her face and does everything to get the taste out (and she is 15 years old... plenty of taste experiences in other words). The mint scent/taste is likely there to please humans - I (and my dog) would MUCH rather it come in bacon or fish flavor to please my dog.

  • Dog Hated The Taste

Unfortunately this tastes horrible according to my dog. Once I swapped this out, his tooth brushing routine went much easier and he no longer fought me.

  • Amazing product

Our youngest cat has a foul mouth. Like ate some toxic waste bad. We've consulted the vet and she couldn't find an obvious cause and suggested we brush his teeth more. Brushing a cat's teeth is not easy. We've tried the toothpaste, but the cats only want to lick it, not have a brush in their mouth. We tried dental chews, they helped a little, but not much. This, THIS is the only thing that has made a meaningful improvement. He doesn't love it, but tolerates it. He's young and wily, so instead of squirting it in his mouth, we use a Qtip. It's easier when one of us holds him, but it can be a one person job just getting soaking the Qtip and getting some on the gums. Now we don't flinch when Our youngest cat has a foul mouth. • the ONLY product for problematic teeth

    By on

Enzyme toothpastes are inadequate if your dog has plaque issues. This is THE ONLY thing that will help control it. Some say squirt in mouth but I prefer to swab teeth and rub with swab as well. Dog doesnt love it like the enzyme tooth paste so I alternate to keep him interested.Done daily, you will see improvement and notice better breath as well. I do wish they would make it into a gel toothpaste :/

  • Good preventative product for tartar build up

    By on

My Vet likes this product and i have used it for several years. Chewy.com has the very best price, so that is a bonus. Nothing I have used ever prevents any tartar build up, but this product seems to be one of the better ones to prevent the least amount of build up.

  • Cat hates it

    By on

This is supposed to be "palatable". My cat, and my sense of smell, disagree. Why, in a pet product, would sorbitol, SD alcohol 388, and food coloring be considered as appealing or tasting good? Cats don't have sweet taste buds.

This really helps freshen a dog's breath along with helping to keep their gums clean and reduce plaque build up between regular cleanings.

  • Goof got dogs' teeth and they like it.

Both dachshunds gladly lick this--seems to help teeth. And tastes much better than plain hexachlorophene according to the dogs!

  • Is this product okay for dogs diagnosed with IBD?

    By on

I haven't purchased product yet and was wondering if it would be okay for an 11 year old dog with IBD. I just had her teeth cleaned and want to keep her teeth in good shape between cleanings.
