Does this help with/prevent constipation as well?

Laxatone is a gentle and easy to use lubricant for the prevention and elimination of hairballs in cats. It supports the normal digestion in cats.
can this safely be refrigerated? I would order it but in the past when I've tried to use it, it was too runny. I know it says to keep in cool, dry place but does not say to refrigerate. I have no other cool dry place. However, I had read somewhere "not to refrigerate". Please clarify.

This Oral Gel can be refrigerated. It is not needed, however, some people like that it is more solid when placed into the fridge. It does not affect the expiration date of the product if kept in the fridge.

My Cat Loves it!

I got this from my vet and came here to buy more. My cat likes the taste. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks and no hairballs so far. I give it to him on popsicle sticks that I write the days of the week on, like Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It’s an easy way to make sure he gets it 3 times a week. He licks the popsicle stick clean every time. Easiest medicine I ever had to give a cat. Wish I knew about it years ago! I’m going to try it in the fridge to make it less runny since reading other reviews.

Helped ease using litter box

I care for a three-legged cat (back leg removed/cancer) who was crying when she went to her litter box. Vet thought might be hard stools and/or hairballs causing pain when she had to balance/strain to go. Been using Laxatone as directed to start and now 2x a week and she is greatly improved.

Works when others don't, but not tasty.

I've tried other brands, but they have not worked for my cat. Vetoquinol Laxatone works. However, my cat hates the taste. I put it on my finger and slide it off my finger inside his mouth near the back of his jaw. Quick and easy now that I've done it a lot and my cat doesn't fight it. I do believe that Vetiquinol Laxatone and Tomlyn Laxatone are the same thing.

She Love the Tastes; Results are Marginal

My vet recommended a different flavor of this gel - sort of a "maple" flavor. Couldn't get my hairball queen to go anywhere near it. She loves this tuna flavor, but she still manages to throw-up one hairball a day–around 6 am. NOTE: She is a BIG girl with lots of long hair!

Cat's Hairball treatment may be the "real deal".

Provided the supplement to my cat, and for the first time I can remember, he didn't "throw-up" for five days. When he did, it was a smaller amount. Too early to tell, but I believing this may be the corrective supplement.

Works well but package was damaged in transit

Our longhaired cat is constantly grooming herself. As a result, she was having frequent hairball issues. The Laxatone helps to alleviate these. The tube was damaged in transit (see photo). It arrived in a soft envelope which apparently was smashed on the delivery truck. I suggest that this product should be shipped in a box.

Part of the daily routine

My cats love this. I keep it in the fridge so it's not so liquidy. As part of our morning routine, I put some on each of my index fingers and the cats lick it off. I haven't had any trouble with hairballs since starting this a year ago.

Saved my Kitty!

My kitty was coughing for days and trying to get something out of her throat. I became concerned and thought I’d have to go to the vet. I ordered this product and gave it to my kitty for a few days. Whatever was stuck in her throat moved out. My kitty was saved. Thank goodness!

Great stuff

My cat used to get hairballs randomly, this reduced them alot and when he did get one he would literally come find me so I could give him a dab and it would clear it up without him needing to cough it up.
