    Seems to really help

    By on

My 10 year old kitty started having really bad cystitis. I took her to the vet and they gave her antibiotics and it seemed better but after 2 weeks it reappeared. I took her back and got more antibiotics and it was OK for about a month, then came back again. I had a kitty about 25years ago with chronic cystitis and I use to give her some small green pills (don't remember the name) that were an acidifier and it would clear it right up. I asked my vet about it and he said it's not made anymore but never recommended this. I found it on my own and it has made it disappear. The pills were easier though. She hates the gels of any kind and struggles to not take it.

I was recommended by vet to try this medication for my puppy. This has helped dramatically with her pee! Things have been a lot easier since she has taken this medication. Plus my puppy loves to take it!

    My cats hate it!!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I bought two tubes of this in hopes it would help my two male cats. I put it on each of their paws and I don’t know why but they freak out and run around like i’ve Assaulted them. Instead of licking it off they try to shake it off or rub it on anything near them. Other than creating a mess I can’t tell you if it works. I’ve tried mixing it in food and they actually eat around it. Does have a medicinal smell but they usually don’t mind anything I give them but this they will not take.

My Picky Kitty HATES The Smell of This

    By on

It works. It really works. My picky kitty with stones and cystitis is extremely sensitive to certain smells. This gel smells exactly like the prescription food he was given, which he not only turns his nose up at, but also attempts to scratch away wildly as though it belongs in his litter box. We ended up traumatizing our poor boy by smearing it on his paw to lick off. He just wasn't having it. He ran through our home like a wild stallion with it on his paw. We were losing the battle to treat his condition. We came up with our own solution to treat his problem: We buy palatable, non-prescription urinary tract soft food, and put a small dab of this gel into each of his servings. We can't It works. PROVIDES INSTANT RELIEF

    By on

my 3 year old cat was suffering from crystals in the bladder. I took him to the vet and was instructed to give 1/2 tsp each day. It provided instant relief and he was able to go to the litter pan again within a few hours. When the tube ran low, the vet said to continue each day. I immediately placed an order and Chewy ensured I received the following day. He has not missed a dose and has shown improvement.

    Helps the underlying issue!

Last summer our cat of 4 years (got him at 7weeks old) started having issues with his urinary tract . . . eventually he developed crystals . . .which blocked his ability to urinate - during Hurricane Irma he had life-saving surgery (PU - perineal urethrostomy) to widen the exit so that he could pass the crystals so his bladder didn't burst. . . Easy to administer

    By on

Our kitty, Buddy, needs methionine to help with his urinary stones. He will not eat it from the tube, but if I put it on the top of a front paw, he licks it off with no drama. Giving him pills or liquid by mouth is an exercise in frustration for both of us, so we both really appreciate this "easy to give" medication. He's only been taking it for a week, so too early to tell if its going to resolve the problem, but at least he's taking it without complaint.

    Tasty, easy, and helpful

Got this for my chihuahua and cocker spaniel who are prone to bladder crystal/infections, for prevention. It is easy to just squeeze a dollop on their food and they like it. Works well.
