    Exceptional!

    By on

Wish I had thought to take before and after pictures. However, my Yorkie, who is prone to areas he develops yeast because he's a lover of water, had developed yet another patch on his lower back. I normally proceed to giving him a bath a few times a week with anti-fungal shampoo, but the ordeal of keeping him in the tub for five minutes as well as completely drying him to avoid unwanted moisture, which is what fungi thrive on, made me try this product. The instructions say to use it twice per day, but I've used it once per day for three days and in only three applications, the area is 80% cleared up! This is a wonderful product!

Good product by my cat hated the smell

    By on

I purchased this product for my cat's nail bacterial/fungus. I also purchased the Banixx product. I used this first for three days but my cat just hated the smell. It did work immediately, I saw improvement and my cat did not lick it off; it just dried in place. I then switched to the Banixx which has no smell and he tolerates better. The combo of these two has improved his bacterial/fungal nail and cuticle infection. I gently soaked/cleaned his nails with warm water and removed the dark gunk that was there and around the cuticle ridge at the base of the nail. I used a small soft pet toothbrush and my fingers. Then I sprayed and soaked each claw/cuticle and foot. I wanted a topical product I purchased this product for my cat's nail bacterial/fungus. I also purchased the Banixx product. Then I sprayed and soaked each claw/cuticle and foot. I wanted a topical product safe for pets since human type products are not safe. Especially when pets lick and ingest them. I did my research and wanted to try this before going the antibiotic vet route. My cat did not have any injuries to his nails and they can get bacterial/fungal infections from microbes and even dust mites. Several of his nail cuticles were red and swollen, others were fine. I think for my cat the combo of Vetoquinol and Banixx has worked and I am seeing good improvement. No more gunk is there and things see to be clearing up. Every cat is different and I purchased both these products for under $20 and wanted to give them both a try after reading Chewy's customer reviews. I will continue to apply the Banixx until everything is cleared up, apply it probably monthly as a preventative going forward. NOTE: Cats can have nail problems due to many reasons such as bacterial/fungal, an auto immune or genetic condition, nail injury, etc. I used this product and saw results, but would have definitely taken him to the vet for treatment if I had not seen this was working. … more

I was using a cream with the same ingredient and decided to try this spray. It is much easier to apply. She also does not try to lick it off which is wonderful.

    Works wonders

My dog was eating her paws raw. They were super red. I used this spray and after about 3 days her paws were back to a healthy pink. Now if I see she is getting a flare up I spray a little and it stops. Highly recommend this product.

    Great for cats.

What's best about this product is that cats do not like the taste of it and once sprayed to affected area, cats will attempt to lick area, but due to the unpleasant taste, will leave the area alone. That's the significance between this product and an antifungal made for people.

    Propaline Glycol added comment

    By on

Propylene glycol is a synthetic liquid substance that absorbs water. Propylene glycol is also used to make polyester compounds, and as a base for deicing solutions. Propylene glycol is used by the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries as an antifreeze when leakage might lead to contact with food. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is “generally recognized as safe” for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products.

    Antifungal Solution

    By on

I purchased this because my dog was having a yeast skin infection flare up and I was desperate to find a solution. I believe this product helped although I didn't apply it consistently, mainly because it contains propylene glycol (anti-freeze) and I didn't want to put this on my dog's skin. It smells like anti-freeze and apparently it kills bacteria on contact. I can't say it's a bad a product as I believe it will do what it was intended to. Just a word of caution to pet parents who like a holistic lifestyle.
