when is this coming back in stock? my cat counts on this gel & it’s been out of stock for a month.
Answer by Jen1Aug 25, 2021
I emailed the company itself a few weeks ago and they hope it will be back in stock in September.

Is this Maple Flavor?? The Viralys we've been using is maple flavor and they love it. Don't want to take a chance with a change. Thank you.
Answer by ChewyFeb 27, 2018
This gel is Maple Flavor.

How many adult doses are in one tube?
Answer by ChewySep 03, 2018
It's recommended to give 1/4 teaspoon twice a day or as directed by your veterinarian. This 5 ounce tube contains approximately 60 days worth of doses.

I'm not great with measurements, so if i had a 1 ml syringe, how much of this would i use for an adult cat?
Answer by ChewyNov 02, 2017
For cats over 6 months you'll administer 1.25 milliliters (¼ of a teaspoon) which contains approximately 250 milligrams of L-Lysine. The suggested administration for kittens under 6 months of age is 0.65 milliliters (⅛ of a teaspoon). The doses will be administered twice daily unless specified otherwise by a veterinarian.

My cat hates the smell and wont get near it.

I bought this Maple Flavor for my cat who really needs a Lysine supplement and won't eat the chewable ones. I hoped this would solve my problem but my cat hates it SO much I couldn't get it near her. She smelled it. screwed up her eyes and almost ran away. I mean I think now I could only use this as a way to get her off the kitchen counter. Sadly, it didn't work for us.

My cat goes crazy over Viralys Maple Flavor

I own a cat that had respiratory issues since birth. I was recommended to give her Viralys twice a day. I started her on the maple flavor at 8 months old and she loves it!!!!! She licks it like its candy. As for the other cats I own I have one that would prefer to take the lysine chewable and for the others I would occasionally mix it in their food. Just like us, every cat will have their own preference.

It worked better than the powder

It tried a few options before I tried this and it really worked. I tried the powder version first and it didn't work because it has to be mixed in their food and they are completely congested when they first get sick and don't want to eat anything. I learned every cat is different. Our kitten would only take it in his food. Where as our senior cat wanted it by itself and didn't want it mixed in her food. She really liked the maple flavor. I think the maple syrup is strong enough that they can smell it even though they're congested.

Tasty and effective

My cat considers the gel a treat that he licks off my finger twice a day. This supplement really helps my 2 year-old cat's nasal congestion and weepy eyes.

Not a hit for my brood

Unfortunately, out of three cats, not a single one wants anything to do with this gel! Even one of my cats who seems to enjoy 'sweet' things turns her nose up at this, along with my two kittens who don't hesitate to gobble up everything I present to them. I had wanted to try a gel supplement instead of powder as I thought it may be easier, but it looks like I'll have to stick with the powder.

the won’t eat them

I ordered a combination of the L lysine for the cats and they will not eat the treats and they will not let me get near them with the gel liquid type thing I tried using a syringe and I figure him out 50 bucks because they won’t go near it

Super immune booster

Shadow loves this. He licks it from my fingers and fully cleans them off to the last drop... This cleared up a condition he had for a long time with his eyes. The vet said he thought it might have been a herpes virus... And that this supplement helps to block that...

Smells just like maple and my cat doesn't care lol

The first time I have gave him the 1/2 teaspoon he was curious, but it took 30 minutes for me to convince him to finish it. After that, I've been force feeding it to him. Luckily he doesn't hate the flavor. He simply doesn't care for it. I think I've noticed some improvement, but I wish there were more information on the bottle itself.

Cats love it

All three of my boys love this version of L-lysine. I tried the powder from my veterinarian (same brand) and they like it, but it was difficult for me to give (my boys are pushy when it’s meal time and apparently I’m too slow for them when trying to put a scoop in each bowl.) so this gel version is given as a treat and they all love it.

Rider begs for it.

I have a rescue kitty who came to us with all kinds of issues. One eye is a constant irritation. Rider loves this gel. He sits patiently for it before breakfast. I love it because I know it helps his immune system.
