Why should I include vitamins & supplements in my pet’s diet?
Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
How often should I give this supplement to my pet?
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

The Best Choice for Less Pet Stress
Zylkene is a pet parent's trusted solution for times when your cat or dog is feeling stressed. Furry family members are delicate creatures when faced with frightening, unsettling or unpredictable situations or changes in their environment. This innovative behavior supplement helps kitties and pups relax and increases their ability to cope with environmental upsets. A calmer pet leads to a less anxious pet parent and a more tranquil household.

Take Away the Furry Worries
Even the most easy-going pets can easily become a bundle of nerves in stressful situations. It's pretty common for both cats and dogs to respond to changes with anxiety, but Zylkene offers a way to balance your pet's mood and help them maintain a normal, relaxed disposition.
Some common causes of pet anxiety:

Travel

Loud Noises

New Baby

Fireworks

New Home

Vet Visit
Look for the Signs
Animals can't tell us when they feel upset, but they can show us in many different ways. Keep an eye on them and look for the telltale signs that they might be distressed. These include sleep pattern changes, more or less social interaction with people or animals, reduced play, hiding, weight loss or gain, withdrawal, barking and howling incessantly or more than usual, repetitive and excessive licking or over-grooming, house soiling, or trying to run away.

Just Mix and Serve for Gentle Relief
Zylkene is easy to administer to your pet whenever you're expecting an event like upcoming holidays, visits or vet trips. It comes in capsule form, and you can give it whole or break it open to mix with meals or treats. You only need to give it once daily, starting a few days before the event to bring calming relief.
A Safe Alternative to Sedatives
This supplement is ideal for pet parents who are looking for an alternative to overpowering medications. Zylkene won't cause sedation or drowsiness or cause your pets to be less alert. The main ingredient is a natural, bovine-sourced milk protein called casein. It's the same protein found in mother's milk that has a soothing effect on pups and kitties.

Not very impressed
By Fritzi on Nov 9, 2020
I have four Persian kitties and one is a problem child. He is afraid of everyone except of me. He is very nervous and anxious in general. Also very high strung and high prey drive. Because of this, about two years ago he started to overgroom mostly his paws, until they were raw and bleeding, basically self mutilating. Just in case he recieves treatment for allergy but that didn’t solve the issue. I tried Zylkene for him but I didn’t see any change. I would say that Zylkene combined with Amitriptilyne, Hills c/d stress canned food does the trick, fingers crossed. But if you have a difficult case like I do, I would not rely on Zylkene exclusively. Even tried it on my other three kitties just to I have four Persian kitties and one is a problem child. Anxious pet? Not anymore!
By Heather on Jan 11, 2021
When my vet recommended Zylkene for one of my cats, I was extremely skeptical. After using it? It worked so well, now I have my 3 senior cats on it daily. Does your cat get aggressive with others at feeding times? They'll share or swap bowls now. Cat pee in your laundry basket cause you were gone all day? Not anymore. There is another brand of knockoff Zylkene online, and it doesn't work at all. I have 8 cats, 3 get this once daily. It is worth the price.

Did nothing
By vj86 on Dec 11, 2020
My cats are not stress-balls but can be quite clingy and anxious, esp the male cat. They had a fight 10 days ago and have been separated in different rooms as they need to be slowly reintroduced to each other. Thought this would take the edge off especially when i'm not in the same room as them. I see absolutely no change and I have 2 capsules left in the bottle. This perhaps does not work for every cat. If your cat is stressed easily, go for a prescription medication.

My vet suggested and it works!
By Danny on Jan 2, 2021
Too often do i read reviews on a product and I don't get the same results. These capsules worked very well. My schnauzer has anxiety when she rides in cars which is a problem because she has to go to the vet every 4-6 weeks for a skin condition. These capsules have made all the differnce, shes now looks out the window and the ride to the vet or the aprk is a non event.

POD CAT CONFUSION
By Sebastian on Nov 14, 2020
My kitty was an adult stray. We are currently transitioning from the street life to the home life. While I’m learning so much about boundaries the fact remains that I’d love to be able to cuddle my fur friend without his being mean/grumpy due to his uncertainty. I am willing to work on our kinship but I could not put off the vet visit any longer. I started “drugging” my new friend a week prior to our scheduled vet visit, as I was unsure of his reaction. By the 3rd night I was woken up by a POD CAT! The little guy was purring and demanding pets - I was thrilled and convinced my friend had been switched out with a new kitty, haha, by the weekend (day 5) the car ride was smooth and he was such a My kitty was an adult stray. While it did not work for the Vet, for us, it definitely works overall and I’ve just ordered more. … more

Not for my cat
By catlover on Dec 13, 2020
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work for our neurotic cat :( Love him dearly, but he is too aggressive when playing with our other cat, pouncing on her and biting her hind leg (we got this second cat only to keep him company!). Tried 2 brands of pheromones, supplements, sprays, and these. Will keep looking for a miracle.

Calmer household
By Julie on Jan 3, 2021
This product was recommended by our vet. One of our cats had begun to hide constantly, was scared of every noise and becoming a bit aggressive towards our other cat. This has made a huge difference!!! He spends nights on the sofa with us again, wants to be petted and is now tolerant of our other cat, even playful at times. Thank you!

Calms the Kitty
By Wally on Oct 25, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
This takes the edge off my cat’s nerves for vets appointments and visitors. For her recent dental cleaning she had it sprinkled on her food for five days beforehand as recommended. She went into her carrier without much fuss and they noticed she wasn’t as nervous at the cat hospital. She’s very frightened there without the Zylkene. I prefer giving her this supplement to a drug and it really helps her. She’s less frightened of visitors with one capsule on her food the day they are expected. With coronavirus we haven’t had company for months so afraid she will be nervous again like she was when first adopted so will be relying on Zylkene again.

Calmer Kitties???
By Carolp495 on Sep 21, 2020
I tried this only for two days on my cat. My female is 18 pounds and a total scaredy cat. I gave her two capsules mixed in with a very small amount of juice from her wet food. She lapped it right up. I really did not see much a change in her at all. She didn't seem to get any more laid back and it seemed when it may have been wearing off, she ran around the house like a kitten with her behind on fire. It was nice to see that she was so happy, but not good for my intention of using it for travel. It didn't seem to work for my girl, but it may work for someone else's kitty with better results. I have tries a lot of calming treats and liquid with not real positive results. Sorry.

My dog is a whiner. This product helps with the anxiety he may be experiencing. I like that it is an herbal supplement and has no prescription meds.
