Description

Help keep your furry friend calm during stressful times with the Vetoquinol Zylkene Behavior Support Capsules Medium Dog Supplement 225 mg. The non-drowsy formula uses alpha-casozepine, a natural ingredient found in cow’s milk, to help balance the stress reactions of dogs safely and with no tranquilizing or sedating effects. Milk-sourced alpha-casozepine is known to promote relaxation in babies, and it works in a similar way for your pal, giving him a sense of comfort and contentment to help him cope with stress or adapt to new situations. It’s perfect for most doggie stressors like loud noises, visits to the vet or groomer, as well as unfamiliar people and places. Plus, it’s free of lactose and preservatives, making it ideal for sensitive doggies’ tummies.

Look for the Signs

Animals can't tell us when they feel upset, but they can show us in many different ways. Keep an eye on them and look for the telltale signs that they might be distressed. These include sleep pattern changes, more or less social interaction with people or animals, reduced play, hiding, weight loss or gain, withdrawal, barking and howling incessantly or more than usual, repetitive and excessive licking or over-grooming, house soiling, or trying to run away.

Just Mix and Serve for Gentle Relief

Just Mix and Serve for Gentle Relief

Zylkene is easy to administer to your pet whenever you're expecting an event like upcoming holidays, visits or vet trips. It comes in capsule form, and you can give it whole or break it open to mix with meals or treats. You only need to give it once daily, starting a few days before the event to bring calming relief.

A Safe Alternative to Sedatives

This supplement is ideal for pet parents who are looking for an alternative to overpowering medications. Zylkene won't cause sedation or drowsiness or cause your pets to be less alert. The main ingredient is a natural, bovine-sourced milk protein called casein. It's the same protein found in mother's milk that has a soothing effect on pups and kitties.

My generally high strung pit bull, who has trouble calming down or even sleeping due to anxiety, impulse control, separation issues and all over high strung nature, really is able to relax, calm down and sleep with the help of this medication. I order on auto ship. Keep em comin!

    Very helpful supplement

Our dog loves the taste ... I sprinkle it on a tablespoon of plain yogurt every morning! It calms Jeddi, but doesn’t make him lethargic. Jeddi weighs 15 pounds. We found the larger dosage works better.

    Didn't work

I had low expectations that this would calm a reactive dog, and wasn't disappointed. Anecdotelly, this works for some dogs, not for others. In my case, it didn't.

This medicine really helps to keep my dog calm. I’ve tried a lot of medication but none worked as well as this does. Will continue to purchase.

    Finally helped our dog relax

We had a Cocker Spaniel that is just a generally high strung dog with separation anxiety. He would cry every time he was left alone and pace back and forth, along with inappropriately using the restroom when left alone. Even when we were home if someone new would come over then he would try to crawl in our skins to hide and need constant reassurance. Now that we've been giving him Zylkene he is more calm when left at home while we are at work, the inappropriate pottying has decreased, and company can come over and he is like a different dog with how calm and even more confident he is. We also noticed that while he is on Zylkene he is more confident on walks and is no longer as skittish as he We had a Cocker Spaniel that is just a generally high strung dog with separation anxiety. I wanted this to work but it didn't. I went through almost two full bottles with no change. This might work for some dogs but not mine.

    Fabulous Product

    By on

We rescued our 10 year Schipperke Lab mix last year. She seemed quite anxious, chewing holes in her blankets, chewing on her paws. Zylkene has helped calm her down and feel comfy and relaxed. It has also taken the edge off for another dog at the sanctuary where we volunteer. It was recommended to me by my sister in Germany. She rescues animals and her vet recommended it for some of the rescues. Easy to administer, just sprinkle on food.

This seems to help my anxious, possessive cat (and a feral cat)

    By on

My "alpha" cat, the one who secures the perimeters a few times a day and lays on the entry rug watching me come and go, started pooping on my pillow when I tried to bring home an old foster cat. The old cat had to go back, but the pattern had been established and my vet sold me a bottle of this to put in their food. I have been using it since and she no longer hisses at her sister and doesn't seem to be ^judging^ me as harshly when I come and go, if that is a measurable thing. My feral girl has also stopped chewing on her tail. You save money if you get the higher dosage caps and put just a little in their food.

    Finally something that helps

At about 6 years of age, our shiba-inu mix, Gavin, started freaking out during storms, and the fireworks in my neighborhood brought it up about 10 notches. At first we'd find him in the bathtub, so it became habit just to put blankets in each bathtub when we left for work. It graduated to him trying to "dig to China" behind the toilet, he's damaged some drywall, and actual broke the water supply metal tubing to the toilets in both bathrooms, he turns into a different dog. We are always worried he'll hurt himself. Anyway, nothing will probably help with fireworks, but he is a bit better during storms, the Zylkene has definitely brought his panic down a couple notches. We have had him on Benedryl, Trazadone, Sileo, CBD treats, some calming bites with melatonin and other calming things in it (not at same time!). They all work the first or second time, but after that, it's like he didn't take it at all. He's just a bit easier to deal with on the Zylkene, and it seems his heavy panting and crying is a bit better, and a couple other things only me and his dad would notice, which is better for him. We will keep him on this until the fireworks and storms are done, and then welcome the fall and winter. … more
