This worked right away on our 2-year old lab who started having spay incontinence after exercise. She won't eat the pills by themselves, but if I put them in with her food she doesn't notice. So far, this product has worked well without side effects and is helping us avoid expensive medication with side effects. We will definitely continue to use it.
Pills are very hard. Broke them in half. My 3 dogs would not eat them. Tried hiding it in their dinner. They still would not eat them.
Unfortunately this did not work for my senior pup. Our bladder support med was discontinued and we tried this one. She did not like the taste at all! I had to smash the tablets and mix with food. And also they provided no bladder support what so ever. She was having leakage and more frequent urination than she had been having with her old bladder support. It was a noticeable difference and we will not be purchasing the product again.
I wanted to write a review because I see so many contradictory reports on this. I wonder if it is diagnosis related. To be clear we have had wonderful success with this med. Within two weeks we saw a significant improvement in our 3 year old dogs’ spay related incontinence. Her symptoms were leakage or dripping especially when sleeping. She still occasionally spots but this has been a huge success for us. Since starting this two months ago, we have had a new issue of pancreatitis that we DO NOT believe to be related to the medicine, but wanted to share that information incase it also resonates with someone
This worked right away on our dog. We trued other things but this worked great.
Our vet highly recommended this product in order to discontinue the drug DL Methionine. Unfortunately, our girl has multiple allergies and obviously has had an allergic reaction to this. She itched constantly and was plagued with loose poops. Had to treat her with Benadryl for a day. Itching stopped and poops returned to normal. Therefore, recommend per our vet, but watch for possible adverse reactions.
Not sure this really works. Still some leakage occurs. But will continue to use for now.
Our 3 year old German shepherd has urinary incontinence issues from being spayed at an early age. Our vet and us decided to try this product out first before putting her on a prescription medication. We had her taking these pills for just over 5 months and throughout that time, her incontinence got so bad that she was leaking urine at least once every day versus before, she would leak maybe once every few weeks. We’ve had her off the pills for a week now and hasn’t leaked urine at all. Also, the smoke flavor was so strong and the “chewable” pill was so hard that she wouldn’t eat it at all, so we had to crush the pill up and put it in wet dog food just to get her to take it.
I tried this for my dog Maggie and when I gave it to her she became very anxious which to me was a strange reaction I actually only gave it to her for a couple of days and then stopped and she was back to normal acting. And the smell is awful. Had to throw it away a total waste of money Don't buy.
Used Chewy for years. So convenient and can always count on quick delivery.
