Description

VetriScience Laboratories’ Cardio-Strength For Cats and Dogs is a capsule formula designed to support cardiovascular health and function in dogs and cats. Cardio-Strength features 11 synergistic ingredients that are vital for elderly animals, and is recommended to support animals with pre-existing sub-optimal cardiovascular functions, breeds that are disposed to cardiovascular stress, or geriatric dogs. It is designed to support heart muscles and cardiovascular functions, as well as reduce oxidative stress and support circulation and better oxygen utilization. Ingredients like L-taurine support regular heartbeat while minimizing the loss of potassium and supporting proper electrolyte utilization.

The inclusion of potassium is necessary for maintaining electrolyte balance. DMG acts as an antioxidant and supports circulation and immune system health, while CoQ10 supports heart tissue oxygenation and heart muscle strength. L-carnitine supports the use of fat for energy and oxygen utilization while also supporting fat metabolism and helping the body balance triglyceride and cholesterol levels. EPA and GLA (fatty acids) support circulation and blood flow, and ingredients like vitamin E support normal clotting and healthy capillary strength, making Cardio-Strength an incredibly comprehensive formula for cardiovascular health.

  • GREAT for my heartworm positive rescue dog!!!

    By on

This helped my heartworm positive dog a lot! She was running around the dumpster and had 6 puppies before I managed to get close enough to catch her. She was a severely emaciated 67 pound Great Pyrenees when I finally caught her and took her to the vet. She had very severe heartworms and was always coughing and acting sick from them. I started her on this and several other supplements, and she started showing improvements immediately. She has had her first heartworm treatment at the vet and will have her next one in a month. I plan to continue giving her this supplement until she has recovered completely. She is doing fantastic!!!

  • Not for small dogs

I got these for my 10lb dog, and when I got them they were capsules and the instructions said 1 pill per 30lbs. So for my small dog I have to break open each capsule and separate the powder into doses, then find a way to make her eat it. Not very convenient!

  • Splitting Only 1 Capsule Daily Between 2 Dogs

    By on

Neither of my large senior dogs has any real health issues. The older dog has been breathing irregular especially at night and I mentioned it to vet who did not seem to feel their was any condition that needed to be treated. I am giving this for a time to see if there is any improvement. In both my and my husbands opinion, she seems to have more energy, is more vibrant and happier and friskier. We are happy with these results and may purchase again so we can have our wonderful Daisy with us for as long as we can.

  • Not edible

My dog has a tiny mouth so I try to empty the capsules onto food. It stinks so badly that she won't eat a bite. Definitely a waste of my money.

  • Really works!

My 12 yr old Chihuahua has an enlarged heart and had a grade 3 heart murmur. My vet put her on blood pressure medication and a diuretic. I researched and found these online. I ordered a bottle and started her on them. When I took her for her checkup my vet was very surprised because her murmur was now a grade 2. He said that murmurs very rarely get better. I will definitely keep her on these!

  • good product

My dog is feeling much better since he's been on these vitamins for a couple of weeks. The only problem is getting him to eat the food after the powder is sprinkled on it.

  • Love, Love, Love this supplement

I use this daily for my dog with congestive heart failure. This supplement along with switching to a low sodium (raw) diet, made all the difference. Even my cardiologist remarked that he was surprised there was not much of a decline as he had anticipated at our 6-month and again at 1-year visit.

I have four cats, all from the same litter. (long story) But one has a bad heart defect. Grade 6 murmur. One side of the heart slightly enlarged. Has episodes on occasion and breathes hard. On three kinds of Meds ..Started on them at 3 Mos of age, and now 2 1/2. I always wanted to give him Vitamins, but never got much recommendation from the Cardiologist. I called the Cat Clinic and they recommended this brand. I Faxed the page to my Cardiologist for review, and she said it would be fine to give him. A little nervous, but should be Okay! He is very skinny because of the heart issue..I plan to place the order next week. Sounds like you have to open the pill and sprinkle the powder on I have four cats, all from the same litter. • Great product

This has a very good combination of amino acids and other supplements but the taurine is much lower than our vet recommended. By combining it with a straight taurine product we get exactly what our dog needs.

I can't give a review on a product that i have only had of a week you need to give it time to work. I can say the pills are much to large to give to a. Cat he will not eat it in his food so I have to open them up and put it in smaller capsules very inconvenient
