  • Poor source of COQ10

    By on

I was in a hurry to get my dog on COQ10 for her heart issues. I was skeptical about this since it didn't say on the bottle or at the website whether this was Ubiquinol (an excellent, and highly absorbable form) or Ubiquinone (a much less viable form) on the bottle. Still I thought it was a good company so I bought it. It took several phone calls to the company to get them to return my calls and answer the questions. I will say that eventually they did call me, so they didn't avoid me completely. If you want something truly good for your dog, do your research and find a ubiquinol sourse.

  • Too soon to know !

I have read alot of articles on supplementing COQ10 in older dogs. Just like we humans, they loose the ability to make enough on their own and is really important for heart health. Have just started her on this and have seen some improvement in she seems to have more pep and overall seems to feel better.

  • hard for older dog to swallow capsules

It would be great if someone could create a CoQ10 liquid you can add to a dog's food. My dog is 16 and he cannot chew and swallow the pill pockets anymore, I add to his food, but he refuses to eat it. A liquid with a bit of a pleasant flavor would be delightful.

  • Our 12 year old has really benefitted with Coenzyme Q10.

Been using Coenzyme Q10 for a couple of years now for our little Boston Terrier/ Chihuahua mix, Amigo. His Holistic vet recommended it for his heart health, and now our little Chihuahua Katie, age 10, has started to take this supplement as well. Both are doing great! They don't act their ages! Such little busy loveable doggies!

  • Great Product

I'm always looking for anything that helps the heart and CoQ10 does the trick. This everyday vitamin works very well with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Milly. They are nice and small, so it isn't hard for her to swallow. She gets two of these pills a day, one in the morning, and one at night, with no fuss at all! I would highly recommend this product, especially for any of those fur-babies that need a little bit of extra heart attention!

My 12 yo Yorkie/Jack Russell had elevated triglycerides. I started her on this & in 3 months her glycerides had decreased by half. I then added organic wild salmon oil and in another 3 months, they were normal.

We are dachshund people, so we're always trying to find ways to avoid the dreaded IVDD and heart disease. Our veterinarian recommended that we add CoQ10 to their diet and it has done wonders for them. In 2015, I adopted a 10 year old shihtzu with a heart murmur. It recently went from a stage 2 to a 3 but he is not showing any signs or symptoms. I read so much about Coenzyme Q10....just trying to do what I can for him. So far he is happy, healthy and perky!
