Say “Yes” to Less Stress

Prolonged stress and anxiety can cause your dog to act out or even make him ill, leading to issues like inappropriate marking, chewing, aggression and even digestive problems. Composure helps calm dogs with a synergistic blend of colostrum, L-theanine and thiamine, to address stress and stop problems in their tracks. Just give your pup the tasty soft chews or liquid formula at the first sign of stress behavior or during stressful situations.&n

Manage Daily Stress

Composure can be given every day to calm anxious dogs and help those in new and stressful situations cope. The non-herbal, non-pharmaceutical formula has no known side effects and won’t make your pal drowsy or change his personality—he’ll just be his best self! The yummy chews come in three delicious flavors your buddy will love.

Fast Acting, Long Lasting

Composure starts working within 30 minutes, so you can give it as soon as you notice stress behaviors or before stressful situations like trips to the vet. Fireworks, thunderstorms, separation anxiety or just plain old fear don’t need to ruin your pup’s day anymore. The formula keeps working for up to 4 hours, so your best buddy can weather any storm.

Fully Researched Ingredients

Fully Researched Ingredients

The ingredients in Composure have been extensively researched and recognized for their calmative properties. Colostrum Calming Complex helps relieve stress and improve cognition, L-theanine relaxes and lessens irritability, while thiamine acts on the central nervous system to induce calm. All three work together to produce pleasant state of balance and well-being.

Use More if You Need It

During times of heightened stress or when you’re expecting stressful situations to arise, you can safely double or triple the dose. Give extra when phobia triggers arise like noise, encounters with new people or dogs or trips to the vet. The natural formula won’t impair your pup and isn’t addictive like some pharmaceuticals.

Archie's calming pills for thunder storms & trips

    By on

So far, Archie does not like the little chews. I have tried to coax & trick him to eat them but when I got a few into him, I think it really helped him. Like the idea that there is a lot of vitamin B in the chews. They are soft enough that I can break into 2 pieces to get him to swallow them. Hoping I will eventually be able to convince him to like them since I did purchase a large bag.

    Not Good for my dogs

    By on

My Chihuahua , who struggles with separation anxiety wouldn't eat them at all. My other dog, who eats everything, ate them but it upset her stomach. So unfortunately these didn't help at all.

    Dogs will not eat these

    By on

I've been buying Composure for some time now but this is the first time I've purchased the peanut butter flavor. My dogs ate the other flavor with no problem but will not eat these. They snub their nose at them and turn their head away. They've never done that before with Composure. No option to return or exchange through Chewy so these will most likely end up sitting on a shelf for eternity.

    Night vs. Day

    By on

I don't have a bad dog. He's a good boy, and he tries very hard. But he's very anxious and hyper and super sensitive. He isn't bothered by thunder or fireworks, but if he's bored or nervous or impatient, he'll walk over to the wall and chew a hole in it. Or in the wood floor. Or he'll get aggressive and viciously guard the pillows on the bed, or a table leg. I've had three trainers give up on him. The vet said he has no physical issues, but recommended that he be on tranquilizers. He grew up in a loving home, but he was still just nuts. Not anymore. I give him a Composure every 4 hours during the day, every day, and half before he goes to bed at night. He's not docile or doped up (I tried I don't have a bad dog. He listens to commands and obeys much more readily. He's more relaxed. I even think he's a bit more affectionate. … more

    Gave dog more anxiety!

    By on

I have a Labrador retriever mix with minor anxiety and were recommended these treats by his vet to help him calm down. These treats did the opposite and actually gave him more stress and anxiety. These treats did not help for my dog!

    It really works!

    By on

I have several dogs that have really been upset lately by thunderstorms. Then we were facing July 4th fireworks. I ordered these hoping for the best. As the fireworks around the neighborhood always seem to begin a couple of days early, I tried administering the recommended dose of 2 for my dogs' size about 30 minutes early as recommended. They were all much more calm. I noted that the package says it is safe to give 2-3x dose, so on July 4, knowing it would be VERY noisy with fireworks, I gave 3 (or 1.5x dose) & wow, it worked wonders without making them sleepy.....just much more calm! I then had an opportunity to try the regular amount again with a storm & again it worked. Definitely keeping I have several dogs that have really been upset lately by thunderstorms. didn’t help

    By on

I tried this product in hopes it would relive my dogs anxiety or just calm him down in general some days. And it didn’t do either of the two. He’s a 2 year old pittie who gets very anxious about car rides, tried giving him these 30 minutes prior to car rides and it was like he didn’t even eat them.

    Composure works:)

    By on

I needed something to help my Australian Shepherd with her stress. I didn't want to use something that would make her too calm but something to help with her mild anxiety. Composure is helping. She loves the chew and it is helping her deal with her anxiety.

    Very Useful

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I have a basset that shares a crate with another basset. Unfortunately, one had some stomach issues. Afterwards, the other one started having severe anxiety about going in the crate. Once we got a handle on the one basset's stomach issues, the anxiety was worse instead of better. The vet suggested I try these. They worked! Yes, I tried separate sleeping quarters, but that was causing severe anxiety as well.

    VetriScience Composure Chews Rock!

    By on

These VetriScience Composure (calming) chews are fabulous!! I was overwhelmed by all the different choices so I asked our vet for his recommendation and I'm glad I did! My hubby is a dementia patient and so can be rather obnoxious at times. The negative energy has taken its toll on the poor dog. But these calming chews - and the bacon flavored ones - have done wonders for her. If I give her one before hubby wakes up, it almost always reduces her OTT reactions to his negativity; and she rarely needs more than one per day.
