How does this not affect their personality and energy level yet calms them during a thunderstorm or fireworks etc???

These chews help calm through the use of L-Theanine, a chemical that is present in many plants, including the plant used to produce green tea. They also make use of Thiamine (Vitamin B1) and their trade marked Colostrum Calming Complex.
My dog is allergic to chicken. Is there a version of this that does not contain any chicken?

The chicken liver flavoring comes from hydrolyzed chicken and therefore the enzymes to provoke a sensitivity or allergy aren't present so pups with chicken sensitivities can still enjoy them safely.
Will this product work for separation anxiety? My 5 year old pit bull is still anxious when I leave, and I adopted him at 6 months. Also cries/shakes during car rides, when it rains, and when bathed. Looking for solutions.

When your pet is stressed, it can lead to hyperactivity, scratching, destructive or aggressive behavior, urine marking, panting, trembling or pacing. Composure helps you avoid these types of reactions with chews that can be given as needed as well as a maximum-strength liquid for high-stress situations.
Will this product help focus my very hyper puppy (7 mos.)?She gets exercise, but in distracting environments (our obedience course), she is all over the map.A calming agent would help to focus her attention on me as we work.If this product is not useful for that, have you a recommendation?

Finally! Something that works

I've really tried everything for my dog with fireworks (and the vet to a lesser extent). Though she has a Trazadone subscription, it upsets her stomach and I don't want to give that to her everyday of the long firework season. I saw that my vet recommended Composure and I have my dog on some other Vetriscience supplements. This worked very soon with her. She is a little over 50lbs, so I started with two in the morning and 1 at night. There was a huge firework BOOM the other night and she didn't flinch. I'm so glad to have found something more natural that works for her!

A must have for your dog.

Boy, since the holidays starting Memorial day, there has been fireworks going off in the neighborhood. Puma was a shaking and panting mess. So I tried this product for him and when they arrived I gave him one, the directions said up to 2 at a time every 4 hours, so I gave him another. In less than 30 minutes he was laying at my feet, calm as can be. What a great product. Now at first he didn't want to chew them, but after that first time, he is willing to eat them, when it gets dark outside, he starts to get anxious. He knows it firework time. Thank goodness for this product.

Good to have on hand during thunderstorm season

I keep this on hand. My 12 year old dog is afraid of storms and all loud sounds. This takes about half an hour to work so we keep an eye on the weather. I think our one year old Aussie is learning to be nervous, too. We will always have this in our pet cupboard!

Works great, just watch amount, dont over do it

I ordered the 60 count on my second order, however, I did not realize these were larger when I placed my order, my dog is only 20 lbs and a 1/2 of a treat is more than enough. I gave him one, before I realized the size and it really made him sleep too much, it scared me, but he was ok about 6 hours later.

Calming didn’t calm

Unfortunately these did nothing to ease our girl. The vet originally recommended them and I was thrilled to see that Chewy carried them. She does like the way they taste though.

Better than prescription

My dog gets very nervous with storms. The vet prescribed xanax, not uncommon, but did not help. My SIL recimmended these, tried them, all natural and works!!

Works Great

My dogs were super stressed out over thunderstorms. And I gave them both two each, within 30 min's they both were laying down and not upset anymore. I would highly recommend them for any pet owner.

Calmed our dachshund

Don't know yet

This item was recommended to us by local animal control tech. Have multiple pet we're testing . All are at different stress/anxiety levels and different backgrounds. We're using in different intensity situations, ex. Thunder storms, fireworks, grooming with clippers, garbage and delivery trucks, motorcycles, etc.

These treats really helped our Peanut!

Our dog is elderly and senile and would keep up up at night moaning and wandering in confusion. We've been giving her a treat before bed every night now and they really do help! She sleeps better through the night and seems mellower the next day also. She loves the taste also, so no problem getting her to take them. I highly recommend as a gentle supplement to help with stress.
