I have an epileptic dog who I have been giving Composure to for years to control his seizures. I thought I would try the long lasting Composure and it works just as well, if not better than the regular Composure and I don't have to give it as often. I highly recommend this product for anyone who's dog is afraid of loud noises, or gets nervous in the car, etc.
I am so disappointed for I was hoping these calming chews would work on my one year old Yorkie. He has severe separation anxiety. I gave it to him every day for a week to give the chews the benefit of the doubt, but they did nothing. I am so disappointed since I researched what were the best chews to calm a dog, and these were highly rated. It's a shame since the chews are only sold in a bag of 90 chews. I had to throw the whole bag away.
Our mini sharpei is adverse to training and has a strong patrol instinct. Combine that with our other two dogs on days where we have guests, workers or other events out of our control like fireworks, and the scene can turn into a crazy worked up frenzy even hours after the 'threat' has gone. This brand of calming chews is the only type I find that wrks on our dogs. They are more receptive to commands and quicker to return to baseline if I prepare them for an incoming disturbance. One each for small dogs is fine , but I will give our mini sharpei 2 if she needs it. Nighttime is calmer, less marking and generally more composed (as the name suggests).
