    This works

    By on

We call these Peanut's poop treats and she LOVES them. We love them too because Peanut is no longer scooting and at her butt all the time. Now she's pooping regularly and is so much more comfortable. She considers these a prized treat and we will be reminded if the poop treat is not offered right after breakfast. Ahem, I would like my poop treat now!

Dogs will eat it like a treat

    By on

One of my dogs is expert at finding "medicine" and spitting it out but both dogs will eat this like a treat. It seems to be helping, no scooting since they started eating this.

Took some time but no more scooting

I have a White German Shepherd who had really blocked anal glands. Vet recommended this. I didn't give it enough time, so we also tried an Rx pet food. I weaned her off the expensive Rx food, and she does fine on 3 bars a day. She wouldn't eat them as a treat, so I just put them in with her food. This does take a while to work, like up to 6-8 weeks. But we finally had success.

    Finally some relief

    By on

My dog has issues with expelling her anal glands. We are not sure why, and we have to take her to the vet every other month or so to release and sometimes its even infected. We stared using these "treats" and have noticed a difference in her bowel movements within days. It seems she is actually having full bowel movements since starting and havent noticed any signs of full anal glands. Will definitely keep using this product.

    Works great

    By on

I have been using this for about two months now and following the dosage it works great. I never took my Shar-Pei/ Beagle mix to the Vet or groomer to have his glands expressed because I thought that would create a worse outcome. I am very satisfied with this. Now if I could get him to stop eating socks and dryer sheets! lol

    Forget Glandex

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I tried two variations of glandex for my beagle. She’s always had anal gland issues, but recently they had gotten extra bad for some reason. It got to the point where she was doing it once, maybe twice a week. My first vet recommended Glandex, and I even went so far as to double the dosage to try to get it to work. I went back to the vet and ended up getting a new guy. He recommended these bars, and they work perfectly!! It’s been several months since we had an expression. I could not be happier. Only complaint is that they’re very hard, almost rock like. I wish they came in a chewy version because as my beagle gets old in the future and looses teeth, she won’t be able to have these. Disappointing

    By on

Was excited to try this as I have to take my dog in every month for the express, but sadly it has not helped at all. Not sure if I should try it more than a month?

No more need for anal gland expression!

    By on

My baby's "area" was having on-going issues. Instead of paying for professionals to treat her after a problem is there, I gave her these to help make her more regular. Daisy no longer has inflammation or even need for expression of her glands. Much less expensive than a vet visit!

No luck for 4 year old ACD

    By on

Two months of this and not much of an improvement for our four year old ACD. Adopted roughly two years ago, we tried switching her food and she started having trouble expressing properly. Once we realized it was a fiber issue we switched her back but she still has scooting/leaking spells every 6-8 weeks. Tried this as alternative to vet visits, but we still end up needing to go. Plus, this treat is huge and she wouldn't eat it alone. Big fights at dinner time. Ended up smashing it in a bag with a bat on the floor to get it to crumble up, and it left a weird residue in the food bowl (we mix with water). I did really want to like this, glad to see it has helped others, though!
