Swing and a miss

She ate the first couple but won't touch them now so I'll stick with Dasuquin which she still picks at but eventually eats them and we were able to finish the bag. The low rating is strictly because my cat won't eat them and the bag will go to waste - it may be a good product but we'll never know.

It works and he likes it!

We have an aging big gray tabby. Poor baby has "clicky" hips and is on a prescription diet (mild kidney disease) . He is fit and a finicky eater. My sister reccomend these and I have checked with my vet that they are ok. Not only does it entice him to eat (great flavor... we sprinkle it over his food) but it works! His hips are still sore at times but no more clicking! I have been amazed and grateful.

tasty, but not for us

The first time I gave this treat to my cat, she *loved* it, but she vomited a few hours later. I wasn't sure if the treat and vomiting were connected, so I tried again a few days later, and again, she loved it, but vomited. I read around online and it seems like some cats just have sensitive stomachs when it comes to products like this. The company recommends giving it with food, but I was already doing that! So, we'll be searching around for another joint supplement that she tolerates better, but if your cat does tolerate this one, chances are they'll love to take it!

Huge improvement!!

Our 1 year old cat had a growth plate injury. After 2 weeks cage rest per vet’s advice there was minimal improvement but there wasn’t much else that could be done. For months our active trouble making cat just laid around all the time. We could see his hips start sinking in due to muscle atrophy. I figured I’d take a chance on a joint supplement. It certainly wouldn’t make him worse. I’m stunned at the improvement! He’s much more active, back to running around and picking on our other animals. I did have trouble getting him to eat them after a couple of days. Now I just crumble a couple up and stir in a couple spoonfuls of canned cat food or tuna in with them. Well worth the extra step!

impossible to assemble and poor quality

This was near impossible to assemble. It took one hour of attempts to finally get it to somewhat come together, and even still, fully assembled, it is totally unbalanced. One leg hovers off the ground and it won’t even out. If I had the energy to disassemble this I would return it in a heartbeat but I genuinely don’t know if I would be able to at this point. DO NOT BUY.

Hit or Miss Unfortunately

We ordered two of these. First one we could not get put together no matter how hard we tried!!! Moved on to the second one and while it was a bit annoying, got it put together with minimal fuss. I don’t if the first one’s material was cut too short or the holes weren’t drilled in the correct spot but we have tried everything to get it together!! The one that works is nice enough. My dogs like it, just wish they could each have one!!

My cat likes them

I was worried my cat wouldn't eat these, because she can be really picky about treats. They are very stinky and she likes them. Honestly, I haven't seen any difference in her stiffness (she's 14), but it's only been a couple weeks. I've been giving her 1 twice a day. I'm hoping it builds up and begins to help her.

Potentially reason for vomit with our cats

This was a tough call on how to rate in terms of stars. Everyone knows that senior cats can be very particular and sensitive to new things being introduced to their diet (which is why we do it very slow). We have two male neutered tabbies, both 13 years old, and in need of a little something to help with their comfort and put some spring back in their step. The good thing about this is we were pleased to see that this product does actually help with that! Yes, it does seem to give them more mobility and seems to help with joint stiffness. But it became apparent within a short time after starting them on it that it was causing them to vomit their wet food. At first, we thought just one of our guys (the pickier one) was maybe a little sensitive to it or maybe had something else going on. But then it happened with the other one, and he'll eat almost anything. Surprisingly both cats really liked these and ate them without hesitation, which really surprised us because if you take a sniff of this stuff it smells like a salty bullion cube, and we make sure to never give them anything salty or anything that could be considered a "human treat". In fact, we were almost ready to blame their usual wet food, but after paying very close attention to their routines and such, we noticed that the only started vomiting (not horribly so, but definitely enough) after introducing VetriScience GlycoFlex. We can only give this product 2 stars on behalf of our guys - they like the taste and it does seem to help their mobility / activity levels, but unfortunately it makes them vomit. I know it's never a sure thing with cats and when something becomes "off" with them, but in this case all we can go by is what occurred - within a few days of adding these (strictly as directed and recommended by the makers) they started each throwing-up a wet meal per day. We stopped giving them this and there has not been a vomit since. It's a shame because we were so happy to see that the immediately liked them and were already showing some good results in terms of what this supplement is meant to do. Back to the drawing board...

doesn’t assemble!

Been trying for hours to assemble this thing. It all lines up perfectly until you go to tighten the last screw. I’m not happy with this. Will be returning.
