Questions & Answers

My cats won’t eat the tablet even broken into quarters. Recommendation?
Answer by ChewySep 22, 2020
It is recommended to administer this supplement mixed in with a treat or food. It is possible to crush the tablet into more of a powdery substance.

Will this product reduce vomiting?
Answer by ChewyMay 10, 2018
This supplement is formulated to support normal, healthy digestion, and if your cat's vomiting is due to hairballs, it will help. If you have any concerns about what's right for your pet, please check with your veterinarian to determine an accurate diagnosis and medication.

Is this product safe for long term use? It works so well for both of my kitties, I'd assume give it to them forever like a daily vitamin.
Answer by ChewyDec 10, 2020
These tablets can be hand fed daily as a treat or given with meals.

Can someone please tell me if this has helped with constipation? My cat never had problem before just the last week. His diet hasn’t changed. From all that I’ve read and it’s been a lot, I do believe it’s hairballs. Thank you so much.
Answer by ChewyApr 08, 2020
This supplement helps support a normal healthy digestive tract however, due to your individual pets specific health concern, we recommend consulting your Veterinarian to see what would be the safest fit for your pets current treatment plan.

Very Best Product Ever

I'm so pleased with your Hairball chews for my cat Princess. This is the best and only product that works for my cat that keeps her from being sick from licking her fur and eating ! I give the company an A + because she's also fussy about taking my thing that's good for her, but she loves these and they work fantastic.

Its working

This works you just have to crush it up. At first my cat smelled it and walked away so I crushed it up, mixed it with a little bit of water to turn it into a paste, and then I smeared it on her paw. Now when I offer it to her she starts licking it on her own without me having to smear it. My point is you should turn it into a paste and smear it on them so they’re kinda forced to try it because they’ll clean it off. I give it to my cat twice a day now but I add more water because she’s gotten used to it. Also recommend getting a pill crusher.

Great Supplement!

These are great to have on hand, my cats won’t eat them whole so I have to crush them and mix in wet food. Anytime i notice my cats having hairballs or coughing like they have one, I give one of these and it is solved. It depends on the cat but i’ve probably only used them a couple times for each cat in the months i’ve had them. Definitely recommend if your cat doesn’t like those gels or you want to try something else!

Didn’t work out

My long haired cat has been having a lot of hair balls in the summer heat, so I wanted to find a product to help. She’s picky and isn’t big on treats, so I thought this might work to crumble into her wet food. The product itself is too big to give as a treat on its own without being broken down. I tried crumbling it Into her wet food and she avoided her food all together. The next time I crushed it into a powder and mixed it into her food with no luck either. I think if you have a cat who isn’t too picky this might be a good option, but for my cat it was a no go.

Great Treat, Okay Hairball Remedy

On the plus side, my 15-yr old, short-hair, Snowshoe Siamese, diabetic cat loves these "treats". He has never had much interest in treats, particularly the hairball varieties, so that came as a surprise to me. I break these up per instructions and he gobbles the pieces right up. He likes them so much, I use them to distract him while I give him his insulin shots. We are on our fifth bottle. On the minus side, I'm still getting the occasional hairball spit up. It's not as frequent as it was before we started using the tablets but my vision of all hair ending up in the litter box has not become reality. I'm going to add a gel to his routine if I can find one he likes. In the meantime, these are a good treat with some minor side benefits.

hard to administer

it comes in giant (for my 7 lb cats) tablets that my cat would absolutely choke on. i cut it into pieces but half then it has sharp edges that would be uncomfortable going down. i had to spend a few minutes crushing it into safe pieces. they should sell this in powder form with a scoop.

Getting too expensive

I have 3 felines that use these nightly. They started around $5 a bottle so they have basically doubled in price... ppl on disability and social security can't continue to pay increases on EVERYTHING else including these... ENOUGH PRICE HIKES ON PRODUCTS...

Really helpful product

The cat I originally got this for was not interested in taking it, but surprisingly my older cat loves these and thinks they're treats! She has medium fur and it helped her with her furballs (along with some brushing) and with her digestion in general. Hopefully your cat will like them too!

Good as a treat, worked at first

It’s good since she did like it since day one. However after about a month of usage, yesterday, she did cough up a hairball so in terms of that I’d say it’s 90-95% effective which isn’t bad ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
