I got these for my dog to help relax him when we go to the vet , groomers and car rides as he gets extremely anxious. He is 45lbs. I started off with one chew to make sure he didn't have any reaction from it. It didn't do anything at all for him. Next day I gave him two chews. Did nothing. So I gave him 3 since he is almost 50lbs . Took him for a car ride and he was still anxious. I was disappointed since this had so many great reviews.
I got these for my 15 yr old Siberian husky, who in old age, now gets into "pacing mode" where she just won't settle down and sleep at appropriate times. She really needs her midday nap, but like a toddler who is over-tired, she fights sleep. I found that ONE of these chews, broken in half and smeared with a little more peanut butter, were accepted like treats, and in about a half hour, she is ready for a nice nap of about 3-4 hours. I tried the recommended dose of 2 chews the first time, and that was too much...she had runnypoops in her sleep. Ick. But one chew does the job for her. It's nice restful sleep, with stretching occasionally, which to me means comfort and rest. She gets up ready to boss my younger dog and go for several circuits of the yard. She's about a 48# dog.
This product works better than other over-the-counter calming chews I have tried on my Shepherds. One of my dogs gets anxious when we travel. I gave her 3 since she is about 70lbs and it did seems to help her relax in the car. The problem with her though is she knows they make her tired and after giving them to her once she wouldn't take them again. I had to break them up and trick her with treats. My other shepherd loves them and takes them no problem. I would probably get these again because they seem to get the job done.
My pup and I recently moved to an apartment and he was having some trouble adjusting. I couldn’t leave my place without him whining loud enough to be heard down the hall. I’d give him these about an hour before I had to leave and made sure he was all snuggly and asleep before I left. It’s been a few weeks now and I’ve been able to slowly wean him off them and leave without him making a peep. These chews definitely helped him adjust to his new home and he’s now a happy, settled in dog who loves watching the trains roll by our window. If you’re using these for separation anxiety, I suggest doing a trial run while you’re home first.
These have been a God send for my senior cockapoo! He was barking every two hours at night. Thinking he had to go out - up I would get to let him out and he would do nothing. Two of these miracle treats and he is sleeping like a baby and so is mom!! They have truly worked for us!! Putting next order on auto ship because I’m enjoying getting a full nights rest & DEFINITELY don’t want to run out!!
Tried these with my 11 year old black lab. She has anxiety to beeping sounds and constantly whines. I bought 2 tubs of these calming chews and they have proven to be not effective at all whatsoever. Pretty bummed but at least she thinks they taste good.
I am so happy I came across these Vibeful Calming Melatonin Peanut Butter Flavored soft chews supplements for dogs. My dogs get a little wound up when the neighborhood starts shooting off fireworks. I decided to give these a try before the fireworks began, and I was shocked at the difference. The dogs were calm & relaxed and I didn't have to bring them indoors as they were fine with the noise level. They actually enjoyed the treat and wanted more. I would recommend.
I've tried many calming treats for our little furry pup and most were hard as a rock or our dog didn't want anything to do with them. We were pleased when opening the Vibeful treats to find out they are extremely soft and our dog loved them! Helps keep him calm when we are away.
8 month old pup was having difficulty when I went to work, crying not sleeping and chewing. I give her one treat and she is able to relax and rest for most of the day.
I've been trying these for my small dog. She is always to active at night right as everyone wants to go to bed. She eats them with no hesitancy. They do seem to do the trick. I usually give them after her dinner and she is not grabbing her toys as much for late night toy dashing. Calmer dog at night makes me a calmer dog parent.
