These amounts are starting points. It may take more or less food to maintain your cats weight. Make small adjustments in food intake to maintain good body condition. When changing from another food, make the transition by increasing the percentage of Mer’s and decreasing the old brand over a 7 day period of time. We recommend taking your cat to the Veterinarian 1 - 2 times per year for “Health” checkups.

No artificially based preservatives are added to our product.
Why is it so important that there is no corn, wheat, or soy in VICTOR?
Corn, Wheat, and Soy have all been identified as potential allergens for some dogs and cats.
Where can I find the Lot Code and Best By date on a bag of Victor?
The Lot Code Number and Best By Date can be found on the back side of the bag (New Poly Packaging) above the VICTOR Logo near the top or (Older Paper Packaging) near the bottom seal below the labeling. The Best By Date is one year from the date the product was packaged for what should still be suitable to be fed up to that date as a guideline. Provided the product has been in favorable conditions will determine how suitable for consumption it should be. Keeping the product from being exposed to excessive heat for any amount of time is the best way to maintain the expected shelf life of one year.

Excellent Health
By Chelsea94 on Jan 5, 2021
very high quality food for a good price. i swithed my kittens from Fancy Feast to this and their coats shined. The nutrition is outstanding..their stools are also very good. if it weren't for my kittens being so stuck up about wanting wet food, id still use this.

My boy loves the taste!
By Charlie on Dec 2, 2020
I wasn't really happy with the dry food my pets were eating before so I switched both my dog and cat to this brand. My cat loves the taste of this kibble so much so that when mixed with his old food, he picked around the old to get the new victor kibble. The only possible negative is that the kibbles are considerably larger than any other cat food I've seen (sort of a 3D triangle shape instead of flat disk) , but there hasn't been any issue yet :)

Not for neutured cats
By connimari7 on Nov 25, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
I initially loved this because my cats were eating and it helped with digestive issues, after 4 bags 2of my cats have started having urinary issues and my vet said food is definitely an issue. I can’t afford to keep it to donate so I returned it

It's the Cat's Meow (''") =^..^=("")

I had never heard of this catfood before until I adopted three cats from my local shelter. At the time I was picking them up, I asked what kind of dry catfood they were being fed and they told me Victor Dry Catfood. In looking up the ingredients to this, I wasn't too sure with Sorghum and Millet in it, but it is easier digested than rice flour, wheat, barley, etc. I find that my cats are thriving on it and doing very well so I decided not to change it. I contacted the mfg of this food regarding where the "blood meal" comes from as they list this as an ingredient, and I was told that it comes from the chickens they slaughter and use in this food. Everything is sourced from well respected farms in different parts of the country and this food is made in Texas, USA. I particularly like catfood whether dry or moist made in the US versus overseas. Although this company has been in business for only 10 years, it has never been recalled! All their extruded kibble formulas are free from corn, wheat, soy, gluten, or any other processed grain by-products. Their food has none of the unncessary ingredients that most other brands have. There are only a couple brands of catfood that I know of that have never been recalled and this one hasn't which for me is a huge criteria in feeding my cats and keeping them healthy. My vet is pleased, so I will continue to feed them it. I feed my kittens (2) Purina Kitten Food (moist), whereas my year old cat, he gets PetGuard Moist Catfood (another catfood company that has never been recalled and they have been in business a long time) This brand is also sold on Chewy. I do from time-to-time like to mix it up some and add in another brand called Inception Chicken Dry Catfood. I primarily feed my cats moist, but leave dry out especially at night while I am sleeping to tide them over till I get up in the morning. :) … more

Makes my cats throw up
By Melissa on Sep 1, 2020
I have been trying to find a replacement for Muse since it was discontinued and tried this out since it's not in pellet form. I mixed it with other food they are used to and the cats initially seem to eat right around this. They do eventually eat it... and then they throw it right up, even if I mix just a little bit with the other food. It seems to happen to multiple cats. Time to try the next one.
