Corn, Wheat, and Soy have all been identified as potential allergens for some dogs and cats.

Where can I find the Lot Code and Best By date on a bag of Victor?

The Lot Code Number and Best By Date can be found on the back side of the bag (New Poly Packaging) above the VICTOR Logo near the top or (Older Paper Packaging) near the bottom seal below the labeling. The Best By Date is one year from the date the product was packaged for what should still be suitable to be fed up to that date as a guideline. Provided the product has been in favorable conditions will determine how suitable for consumption it should be. Keeping the product from being exposed to excessive heat for any amount of time is the best way to maintain the expected shelf life of one year.

  • Happy switch to Victor Senior Weight Dog Food

    By on

Was using Nutri Source weight management dog food. They are stopping doing biz with Chewy. I love Chewy, so had to find another dog food -- which can be tricky as we all know. Talked it over with Chewy, and settled on Victor senior weight. Mixed old and new together (1/2 of each) and happy to say my dog is doing well with the change. Even saved a bit as Victor is larger bag for same price. I love the way Chewy handles their business in such a professional manner.

  • The best food for the dog that loves to eat!

    By on

I have a 10 year old Lab and she loves to eat! She was getting too heavy so we had to put her on a diet. We tried all the big name diet food but she would only get so little, usually 3 cups a day. She was always so hungry. I love this food for her because she gets 5 cups a day! That's amazing! When she finishes, she feels satisfied. Not to mention, it has all the ingredients that support her ailing joints and avoids allergens! I keep using Victor Senior because, quite frankly, it's the best dog food on the market for a dog that eats like a pig!

  • Good stuff..

    By on

I just started this April first 2017. Leaned off from Victor Beef and Brown Rice due to increased age of our three dogs. 10 year old Black Lab, 8 year Old Black Lab and 8 year old Siberian Husky, all rescue dogs. Dogs love this Victor Senior and have not shown any digestive problems or problems of any kind. They wolf it down as I feed twice daily. This is an excellent product at a very reasonable price. The dogs did fine also on the previous Victor diet.

  • No problem with the switch!

    By on

I bought this food because my 3 year old rescue has become overweight in the past couple years. We already use Victor and felt with it's good reputation there would be no issues switching over. It has been an easy switch no stomach issues, no notice that there was any distress to him.

  • good quality, in budget, pups say yum!

    By on

My budget is very tight right now so the five large doggies need a quality food that is more affordable than what I've been buying. (Cereal and homemade bagels for me right now) They have become food snobs and I was worried they might not like something with animal meal being the first ingredient. Usually it's animal, but not in meal form. Most budget good quality food is chicken so this was a nice switch up for variety's sake. Everyone gobbled it down. I'm very pleased. I am very satisfied with the ingredients and getting a 40 lb bag since we go through food so quickly. Thanks Chewy for good stuff I can afford.

  • You've gotta try this

    By on

I was So surprised to find the Victor brand dog food on Chewy. I am always a bit skeptical to try online auto shipments. However, I am definitely a fan of Chewy! The dog food arrived in great shape in a box and is extremely fresh and the price cannot be beat! You gotta try this!

  • Great food

Both my senior Boston Terrier and German Shepard love this food and gobble it right up. Have not fed long enough to determine if any weight loss is occurring but it has helped with my Boston's gassiness.

  • Dog loves it, Vet Approves it, we're good here

    By on

I was looking for dog food that was much healthier that what I was finding at the pet store and came across Victor on chewy.com. I was a little afraid that my golden may not like it. I was wrong. He loves it. He had a checkup at the vet and the vet said it was an excellent dog food. And, it is a little less expensive that what I feeding him from the pet store. Excellent all the way around.

  • Not a senior dog, but...

    By on

I have a 4-1/2 yr old australian shepherd that had to have TPLO surgery right after Christmas. Because we had to keep her sedated and pretty much inactive during her recovery for a couple of months, she became overweight. We've been mixing this food in with her old food to wean her off. She's eating the Victor Senior just fine and is doing very well. Her coat is soft & shiny and she hasn't gained any new weight and her knee is recovering nicely. Once she's on this 100%, I suspect she'll then start to lose weight, especially when she's allowed to really run and play like she use to.
