My cat is 2.5 years old, and was until recently using a malt flavored toothpaste (idk what malt is and why would cats think this was tasty??). We had purchased it hastily because we adopted our cat very suddenly and were not prepared with any kitten/cat items at home. The vet had advised us that we should be brushing her teeth regularly and should start early to get them used to it, so we purchased this stand-in toothpaste previously before discovering this one I had this specific C.E.T Enzymatic Dog & Cat Poultry Flavor Toothpaste saved in my favorites for some time, ready to purchase when the old toothpaste was done. My boyfriend, who is responsible for teeth brushing, noticed that it was much easier to brush her teeth with this toothpaste. She wasn't as fidgety and we were able to increase her teeth brushing frequency from every 2-3 days to daily as the vet recommended. It is now her after dinner ritual, and it is the cutest thing (picture included). She lays upside down in his lap while he brushes her teeth. She also sneezes less with this toothpaste. We noticed she was sneezing a lot when we brushed her teeth and there are less interruptions using this specific toothpaste.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND for your furbaby!!!… more
C.E.T. Poultry Flavor Toothpaste

My ten yr. old Scottie loves it. I have been brushing his teeth with this toothpaste for most of his life. He looks forward to it every evening. After brushing I give him a small dab as a treat. His vet. says he has excellent teeth and daily brushing is a reason. I have tried other flavors, but the chicken flavor is the best. I have previously ordered from another company, but have found the quick delivery by Chewy is absolutely the best service.
Shame on Virbac for putting DEXTROSE in toothpaste!
on Jan 4, 2021
My dog loves the vanilla mint flavor of the toothpaste; however, I am appalled. I am appalled that a responsible company would put DEXTROSE (a sugar) in toothpaste! Why in the world is a cariogenic substance/cavity producing substance (dextrose) in a toothpaste? I will NEVER use this on my dog's teeth in the future. I want to use products to prevent tartar and caries...not promote them. Again, why in the world does Virbac put a bacteria-promoting sugar in toothpaste?
Makes brushing easier

I started brushing my cat's teeth after discovering some mild gingivitis on his back teeth. He doesn't enjoy the process but I think this toothpaste at least makes him tolerate it. I always let him have a little lick of toothpaste first before I begin brushing and we pause a lot so he can taste it in his mouth so I try to make the experience as easy as possible for him and this toothpaste definitely helps.

I brush my dog's teeth daily. I usually go for a mint or vanilla dog tooth paste, but decided to try poultry flavor this time. CET brand is recommended by many vets and actually recognized, so that's why I decided on this brand. My dog doesn't seem to be bothered by the flavor. Toothpaste is brown, so I have to use a towel to wipe up any that got on her face and neck. Will see in a year if this toothpaste seems to better help keep her teeth clean.
Works as advertised

I haven’t noticed any staggering difference in my dogs teeth after a couple of weeks of use. They both are equally indifferent to the taste. No life changer. Ya put it on the brush, try and hit as many teeth as possible before they swallow it and move on with your lives.
Kitten thinks its yummy

Just starting to get my kitten use to brushing his teeth. He is not a fan of the motion but LOVES to lick this toothpaste off the brush. I can not attest to how well it cleans but I can say that it does help brushing with a paste that my cat is interested in.
Tiny loves the taste
on Nov 7, 2020
I have been looking for options to maintain Tiny's professionally cleaned white teeth and fresh breath. He loves the taste of this toothpaste which I believe is half the battle. I'm just having difficulty brushing his teeth. I'm not giving up though. This is great paired with the VeggieDent chews.
Good Flavor; No Digestive Issues :)

My dog loves her toothpaste! She hates other grooming stuff but seems to enjoy toothbrushing the most thanks to this toothpaste. Due to my dog’s history of getting upset stomach from a certain dog food and the expensive vet bills that followed, I was concerned for my dog’s tummy. Thankfully, she’s been doing fine for the past two weeks! I also noticed an improvement in one of her stained teeth. Overall a great product!
If It Tastes Like Chicken, Katie Is Good For It

How do you get your dog to brush their teeth, especially when they care nothing about doing this? You get Chicken flavored toothpaste from Chewy.com. Don't worry about running out, your next order is at the door when you hang up the phone.
