It's my fault, I purchased this mint flavor totally by accident. I will never understand why manufacturers of pet products use flavors that only appeal to humans. Also, I usually avoid products that are marketed for both dogs and cats because cats are totally different creatures. This was a waste of money and it's going in the trash. Hoping someone has made a product that will work specifically for cats.
I have been brushing my golden retrievers teeth for almost 10 years. I have used many different dog toothpaste over the years. since finding this product two years ago have been very happy. I noticed that his teeth are very white and his breath is much better than with the previous products.
I started using this for my kittens when they were 4 months old to start teeth-brushing habits early. Although they do not love having their teeth brushed, they do tolerate it. They love the taste of the toothpaste and I love the smell. I prefer this flavor over the other flavors because it makes their breath smell so good. At our last health exam, I was told my kitties' teeth looked great! This brand also came recommended by vets!
As the title says I was nervous getting mint flavored because I didn’t think my dog would like it but mint just overall gives the freshest breath. She loved it!! It keeps her teeth plaque and tartar free and it keeps her breath smelling fresh. She now looks forward to brushing her teeth!!
We've been using this toothpaste for years and we love it! Our dog love the flavor but even more importantly, it does a great job getting our dog's teeth clean. They still gradually get tartar build up but I would say it increases our time between dental cleaning by about 3 times. So instead of going every year, we have her teeth cleaned about every three years, and even then there isn't much plaque built up at all. The vet always says her teeth look great! We brush her teeth every night before bed, and it's been SO worth it!
This is the ONLY toothpaste I will use on Murphy, he loves the taste and it keeps his teeth very clean the vet complimented on how white his teeth are and he just turned 6. Since I use this toothpaste he has no tarter on his teeth but you have to be consistent and brush every other day.
My dog does not love to get his teeth brushed. Chicken, beef, PB flavored toothpaste you may think would be good but not my guy. My vet suggested mint flavored dog toothpaste. He is a lot more cooperative and willing to get them brushed now.
I thought I was buying the poultry flavor but accidentally bought the vanilla mint. My dog hated it and gagged like crazy! She loves the poultry flavor.
The toothpaste smells good but my dog absolutely hates it. I am trying to be better about brushing her teeth and she has chicken and beef allergies so this one seemed ok. My dog literally runs away when she smells it. She was fine with her old peanut butter toothpaste. If your dog doesn't have allergies I would just buy one of the meat flavored ones to make teethbrushing as hassle-free as possible.
Has always been my choice for my pups and kitties. Leaves their breath nice and fresh. They don't seem to mind having their teeth brushed with it.
