I recommend the product because it seems to give some relief to my dog’s itching skin; but the smell. It has an overpowering floral scent! I wish the company would simply stop adding fragrance to the product or use something much more natural and pleasant, maybe vanilla.
I have a very itchy Australian Shepherd, so itchy sometimes I’m convinced she’s allergic to herself. Over the past 3 years I’ve tried countless allergy shampoos, conditioners, allergy food supplements and salmon oils to get my girl some relief. You name it, I’ve tried it. I thought I’d give one more thing a try before we start her on allergy shots for the rest of her life and I came across this. I used the shampoo and cream rinse of this product like recommended and IT WORKED. It cut down my aussies itching by over 90%. I use to have to bathe her every two weeks to try getting her some relief, but even after two weeks with this product there was no itching and her fur is the softest it’s ever been. If you’re questioning whether or not to try it, do it, you won’t be sorry
I really like this product, the scent is very light and pleasant. It rinses out well, and does a great job conditioning my dogs' coats. Both of my dogs are double coated, so I like to go heavy on the conditioner and then comb it through to remove any mats and as much dead hair as possible. The comb glides right through with this product. No skin irritation for my dogs, and it leaves their coats super soft with a slight shine.
I used this shampoo and conditioner set. It smells really gross. My husband came home and said our house smelled so bad. The smell hasn’t lessened over several days so I’ve purchased a different product and I will have to bath my two large dogs again.
I purchased for our mini schnauzer who has both the 'scnhauzer bumps' and dry skin. Used rinse in conjunction with the Epi-soothe shampoo and left on for 7 minutes or so. (Shampoo was left on for full 10 mins.) I've seen her scratch less after one use! This conditioner did not rinse well, but the real caveat here is the scent. I would describe as 'Grandma floral' and very strong. Strong enough where I could walk into a room and smell where my dog was. It triggered a minor headache for me, but I will continue to use as the scent seems to dissipate after a day or so. I would not recommend for a household where someone is sensitive to floral scents, but it does seem to work very well.
This is great for after shampooing AND for touchups as needed between washes, I'll just wet dog by hand a very little and run a small bead of this accross dog's back and message it in a bit.
Works good, definitely conditioned my dogs coat and skin however terrible scent.
If you haven’t already ordered this, put it in your cart now because after this review - you’re going to want it ASAP. We tried literally every brand you could think of for our Pug and English Bulldog (RIP) to try and stop their shedding and itching and nothing worked…unless we found this brand. Within 1-2 weeks, their shedding decreased TREMENDOUSLY, they stopped scratching, AND it smells good (I also put pup cologne after but still). This, plus a change in their diet, God send!
My Lulu a beautiful female Boxer has had really bad skin issues, scratching and bumps. This rinse improved her condition since the first use, and now after two uses, Lulu is clean!
Dog had dry itchy skin. Some fatty small tumors. I followed the instruction exactly. 10 minutes of virbac epi sooth shampoo and kept my dog warm during that time. Rinsed and pat dry and applied the creme rinse, the same way. Stayed on skin 10 min, kept him warm and rinsed. It's been 2 weeks with minimal itching. The fatty tumors have mostly dried up. I would recommend these 2 products using both together.
