Great No Carb Food

This food is helping my very thin 15 month old Dobe gain some weight. With high protein, high fat, and almost no carbs, she's getting all the fuel she needs without unnecessary carb weight gain. She's very active, so needs all 658 calories per cup this food offers. Not cheap by any means, but this company has done their research. I'll stick with this for a while, as I do rotate my foods. I recommend this food for any dog that can handle the fat and calories.

Best Dog Food (IMHO)

Dogs are NOT adapted to eat a carbohydrate rich diet. This food is thoughtfully put together to better suit their dietary needs. I feel so good feeding this to my dog. Thank you Chewy for carrying this brand.

it has made a huge difference

This food has made a huge difference in our 13 year old dog’s activity level. Henry was having gastrointestinal issues and just seemed miserable. We were so worried about him! He was acting lethargic and achy. We switched him (slowly, per the instructions) and he perked up! Now he’s peppy again, his poops are solid and consistent, he hasn’t had any stomach issues, he loves the food, his weight hasn’t changed. Our vet approves because it has all the nutrients he needs. Vet said many people go “keto” for dogs by making their own food but don’t actually get everything dogs need in there. This has it all. The ONLY thing I dislike about this product is that is so frequently out of stock. Henry prefers the beef formula, but sometimes we have to switch to the chicken kind.

Not for me

I tried adding slowly to their food but my dogs will not eat it.

keto sounds good

My dog loves the food, but I noticed her having wet burps throughout the day and coughing. She developed a honking type of cough that happens at least once a day…. It is very obvious the food is causing acid reflux. This may not be typical for all dogs, but I will definitely get something else.

My dog really liked this food but unfortunately she would get sick when I would feed her the beef flavor

Food for Dog with Epilepsy

If your dog has epilepsy, I highly recommend giving this food a try! Our Rough Collie was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy at 10 months old after having several seizures. After doing a lot of research and finding that keto diets reduced the number of seizures in people and animals, I had to give this food a try! Griffin will be on medication for the rest of his life, and I'm happy that we found a food that seems to be giving him a better quality of life managing his epilepsy. Our dogs have sensitive stomachs so we took our time transitioning them to this food over 2+ weeks. The reason why I gave it a 4 is that the food is making our dogs contipated even with increased water intake. We plan to add pumpkin supplements to help; it's common for dogs on keto. The kibble pieces are bigger so it works out with our 3 large breed dogs. Paws of approval from Griffin, Bruno, and Belle!

Great Macros

It is SOO hard to find a kibble that is quality and isn't like feeding your dog a bag of potato chips twice a day. I feel it is competitively priced compared to other kibble but, based on all of my research, a higher quality. My dogs love it!

Best dog food

Best dog food I have found. I've looked a long time for a nutritionally appropriate food that had simple real food ingredients and nutrient dense. My Aussies tend to have sensitive stomachs and this is the first food they love and want to eat every time I set it down. Stomach issues have been eliminated.

Good but hard

My dog is a very picky eater he will eat it but I have to add goat milk to soften it because it’s hard. But I love the low carbs and the ingredients so I am keep it.
