Gradually transition by adding a small amount of Visionary Pet to your dog's current diet, gradually reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of Visionary Pet for 7 - 10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10 - 14 day transition.
I've ordered this before and the product was nicely formed little medallions of freeze dried chicken. This bag was a crumbly mess. Mostly broken or crumbs and the medallions that are somewhat formed are smaller and thinner. It just makes it very hard to measure which for me is the whole point of buying it in this form. It certainly makes me wonder if this is the same quality as the first few bags purchased.
Low carbs. Use as treats for my 3 dogs. They like tham and all need to drop some weight,
My dog really loves this brand of food I use this as treats for her And she really looks forward to her treats
That review complaining about the sample size bag having crushed pieces is what made me want to leave this review. So weird. Anyway, in the big bag it's basically like potato chips. There are crushed ones in the bottom, and the kids don't care, they just eat the crumbs. The medallions are soft. There is also a keto kibble that isn't soft, so if you want them not to be crushable, you could get that. My pups won't have it. Personally, I break them up and then add water. My big dog can eat them without breaking them up, but when she found out that the little one gets smaller pieces she demanded the same service. :) I won't feed carbs, and I don't seem to keep up with home made, so Visionary Medallions have been a huge relief. P.S. Chewy would it kill you to let me use paragraph breaks?
My dogs eat this willingly. Rehydrates nicely. "Clean" food.
She will bark and circle around and stand up for this.
I just received my order a few minutes ago. Thankfully I only ordered 1 small bag just to try. Most of the bag is powered crumbs( see photo). I really wanted to like these, trying to trim a few pandemic pounds of my little guy but unfortunately I cannot.
We started keto for a neurological disorder. Today is Day 4, and he appears to be more active today. He loves this food, and he is a very picky eater. I add water to it to rehydrate. I hope in the future there are more proteins, as he has a beef allergy (and fish). This one does work for us though.
First, I tried the beef, same producers Keto Medallions, withing 4 hours my dog was throwing up violently. After a couple of weeks, because I had purchased the chicken at the same time, I moistened as package directed, but didn't wait for the center to hydrate, placed in microwave to cook 45-60 seconds. Allowed to cool. Thought he was ok but 12 hours later, he still threw up what appeared to be same color and approximate size of the nugget. Although he had taken in other regular food, that food appeared to be well digested in comparison. The bag does warn of potential of bacteria due to be a freeze dried RAW product. I threw both bags down the disposal.
