Dog has to be forced to eat them
These are very hard tablets. My older dog with kidney disease does not like them at all. I suspect it's a combination of being hard and smelling quite weird... Kind of like another product's liquid smoke "flavor." I have to hide them in something to get her to eat them. We're trying to get through this bottle in hopes it'll help a bit, but I won't buy them again.
MILK THISTLE TABS
MY VET RECOMMENDED THIS PRODUCT AND I HAVE JUST STARTED GIVING MY LITTLE SHIH TZU THE TABLETS SO I CANNOT TELL IF THEY HAVE HAD A POSITIVE CHANGE IN HER LIVER AND KIDNEY. I AM SO GLAD THAT YOUR COMPANY HAS SO MANY PRODUCTS THAT I CAN GET QUICKLY. YOUR RETURN POLICY IS GREAT AND SO IS YOUR STAFF IF I HAVE A QUESTION.
My dog hates these
I bought these because it's hard to find the brand with the big blue pills and I thought that they would be nice because they are a flavored chewable. Well, my dog who would eat anything if put in front of him refuses to eat these. He'll put them in his mouth and spit them out. I tried crushing them and putting them in a little bit of a yummy food, but he refuses them even hidden in yumminess. I don't know if they help liver values or not because I just can get him to eat them. Keeping that in mind, my review is for "taste" and not actually if they do what they are intended to do or not. (will not eat the SamE either)
We added these liver and kidney supplements to my fur baby’s routine after her blood work came back with higher than normal kidney values. I am hoping for her next blood work this will have put it back in the normal range. We use the urinate tact cranberry tablet by Vita Pet Life with success. I took away 1 star because my dog won’t take this on its own, so I have to hide in wet food or slather on dog friendly peanut butter.
My Shih Tzu had really high liver levels. His vet recommended Milk Thistle, I ordered this and have been giving it to him by crushing it and pouring it over his food. I took him back to the vet after 6 months of giving him this supplement and his levels have dropped by 30%. His vet is very pleased and so am I. I will continue to give him this supplement.
My dog has high Liver Enzymes and Kidneys not looking so good. I showed my vet I was giving her this Liver & Kidney supplement and he approved of it highly!
Liver and Kidney milk thistle
Our 14 year old Wheaton's health had been declining. She developed some habits that were red flags for us, including urinating frequently, periodically vomiting at night, excessively licking her belly area, and drinking profuse amounts of water. At her physical, her bloodwork showed that she had elevated enzymes, which our vet said was a sign of liver disease. We treat our 3 dogs' health with the same approach we do for ourselves when we have any types of ailments- to first opt for dietary changes and supplements, as many synthetic medications seem to treat the symptoms rather than the causes. After some research, one of the supplements we found was Coco's Liver and Kidney milk thistle, and so we began to add it to our girl's diet. After a couple of weeks, we noticed changes in her health for the much better. She stopped vomiting, and no longer needed to go out frequently. It's now been 6 months that we've added the supplements. Her symptoms have completely ceased, and she's back to her old self. At her last vet appointment, her bloodwork came back normal. Our vet was extremely surprised at the results, and told us to continue whatever we had been doing, so we're keeping this supplement as part of our girl's diet for good.
Milk Thistle should be beneficial
I was told that my dog's liver enzymes were too high. Hopefully when I take her back in, this product will have helped in that area. I chop this up and put into her daily feedings and she enjoys the taste.
Doggos love these!
It is very easy to be sure the dogs get their liver supplement because it's chewable and they love the flavor.
