When your "little girl" needs a liver support supplement and all the choices you've used in the past are not in stock, you just have to keep looking until you find something that has the ingredients that help. Vita Pet contains the SAMe we need. Our picky senior dog takes it along with a milk thistle tablet and is tolerating it without stomach upset.
seems to help with joints and liver , but need tests , only thing is i have to break in half and hide pill , they wont chew it up, they spit it out
Chewy is a remarkable company that provides high quality products. My recent purchase was just what my dog needed, and at half what the vet charged. Their customer service is top notch.
I was looking for a chewable pill for my older dog with liver failure. She will take this one without problem and it has the ingredients I was looking for. Came quickly.
I bought these because it's hard to find the brand with the big blue pills and I thought that they would be nice because they are a flavored chewable. Well, my dog who would eat anything if put in front of him refuses to eat these. He'll put them in his mouth and spit them out. I tried crushing them and putting them in a little bit of a yummy food, but he refuses them even hidden in yumminess. I don't know if they help liver values or not because I just can get him to eat them. Keeping that in mind, my review is for "taste" and not actually if they do what they are intended to do or not.
I ordered this medication because like many others have noted, I am unable to obtain Denamarin for my dog. My 12 yr old labradoodle is rather picky regarding what she will and won't eat. She would take the Denamarin with cream cheese just fine. I read a lot of reviews of other products with people saying their dog would not take them. So, I took a chance on this product and my dog miraculously is taking it (with cream cheese)! So, I would recommend with regard to taste, but it is too soon to know if it will work medically as well as the Denamarin did.
I had to grind the pills up & put it over her meal. She would not touch it otherwise. Thankfully I no longer need to give it to her as her blood tested came back ok.
My vet wanted my dog to have this but the original brand he was taking has been out of stock everywhere. Therefore, I got this and he likes it and I am glad.
Great company, finally great service and products, minus the price gouging their competitors, display!
She has only been taking it for maybe two weeks so early to judge but I am seeing some improvement could be wishful thinking. She will not eat them as it says but I put a small amount of hummus on it and she eats before her breakfast as recommended on empty stomach, so I will continue to give them, she will need blood to confirm if her liver has improved, she is a 12year old pomeranian/poodle 6 pounds with diabetes and heart issues, so we try to keep her happy and comfortable for as long as we can.
