FAQ

Why should I include vitamins & supplements in my pet’s diet?

Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.

    Reminds Me Daily

    By HappyCamper2 on Feb 25, 2021

My 11 year old female labrador had elevated liver enzyme results last summer that concerned our vet. On the vet's recommendation, we started giving Bella SAMeLQ225 daily and after a month or so, she started showing much better numbers on her blood work. Bella loves her Coco and Luna supplement and, because she receives her chewables between meals, she'll come up to me every midafternoon until I remember that it's time for her Bacon & Liver "treats".

    Good, Effective Product

By Wick on Jan 22, 2021

I have been giving this product to my dog for almost six months now. Her liver enzymes were elevated and the vet recommended SamE. Her levels have improved and as an additional benefit her mental state has also improved. She is a senior dog and used to wake up at night panting and very anxious. Very much like Sundowners in people the vet explained to me. She no longer does this. She also loves the flavor and I have no problem getting her to take them.

    Helps senior dog with mobility

By MissMolly on Jan 11, 2021

I decided to try SAMeLQ225 after reading about it as a possible beneficial supplement for canine dementia. While I noticed a slight improvement with my 15 year old dog's dementia, she had a more remarkable improvement in her mobility. She was barely able to get around before starting this product, and within 3 days she was able to stand on her own without help. She seems to like the taste of them and I don't have any trouble getting her to take them every morning. I'm starting the 3rd bottle now and will continue to give it as long as she is still with me.

    Help for older dogs

By Kris on Jan 14, 2021

My 11 year old female Lab was slowing down and when I had the vet run some blood work, she told me that my dog had elevated liver enzymes. The vet recommended ASMeLQ225 and after giving it to her for about a week, I noticed she was more energetic and alert. I bought the first bottle through the vet, but since this is over-the-counter, I have purchased it through Chewy.

    Questionable Benefit

By pattykake on Dec 28, 2020

I primarily bought this because of the indication for liver support and mental health. My senior pet has elevated liver enzymes and some cognitive issues. So far I have not noticed any change in these in the 3 weeks. Maybe it takes longer. My other concern is the misleading dosage recommendations, the number of chews recommended by weight does not match the serving size, so read the label, it also has a unpleasant odor but the good news, my dog chews them readily like a snack.

    Completely satisfied

By PatrickE on Dec 20, 2020

Our veterinarian recommended giving Sam e to our elderly bulldog. I picked Vita Pet Life based on the other positive reviews and have not been disappointed. Our (almost 14 year old) English Bulldog previously had issues which I would describe as dimentia like and those issues have stopped. I will continue to give him these for as long as he's with us.

    A Definite NoGo

By newtsmom on Feb 4, 2021

This may work, but we’ll never know. My dogs hate them. I tried grinding them up in their food and then they won’t eat the food. You definitely need new flavors.

    Have it on auto ship!

By SAMe on Dec 15, 2020

I really love the SAMe's for my senior dogs. It helps tremendously for liver support (proven through bloodwork) and it helps my 16 year old dog with her dementia. I buy these monthly and all my senior dogs get them as "treats" in the afternoon.

    Liver Supplement

By CatMeds on Dec 18, 2020

My dog's liver panel was elevated so my Vet suggested these. Carson likes them so that's good but we have not rerun any labs so I don't know if they're helping yet. They do seem to make him more thirsty.
