My hamster loves these so much I have had to buy a couple of times I usually give them to them un popped and they love it
Yummy hamster treat
My Hamster loves these. One lasts a few weeks - month. Really good enrichment as they have to really work to get the corn. You can also pop them in the microwave for a hamster friendly popcorn. But I am yet to try this.
Corn cops you can pop in microwave.
My rats went plum crazy over these things. But they pop that good off the cob, but the kernels that do pop are miniature version of people popcorn, so cute. They would fight over the kernels.
This was a great idea but it does NOT stay on the cob. Popcorn explosion all over my microwave!
Use these for pigs, not Brown's!
The variant sold by Brown's - Carnival corn - are not a worthy product. You have a chance of getting a bag of corn that is also infested with moths. If you're trying to decide between this brand and that - go with vitakraft! I've never had an issue with vitakraft but the first time i got brown's i ended up with moths. Takes a while for corn to pop sometimes, but otherwise a very good treat for guinea pigs. If using for hamsters be wary of Females nursing, too much corn can cause them to cannibalize. Avoid feeding to Rabbits, they are NOT healthy for rabbits at all.
Lovely Hamster snack
I believe my hamster, Teddy, really enjoys this corn on the cob especially when it is popped with popcorn. I did find that heating it up to get the pop corn to stay on the cob was a challenged or me, it only popped half of the corn cob and was super hot afterwards. I did heat it up for 15 seconds then stop for a few seconds then did 15 seconds again( in microwave). One other thing is that when I give my hamster the corn I realize she really just munches at it so I broke it in half so she doesn’t take too much at a time. Overall it’s safe for hamsters as far as I know and have researched, and I think it’s a great treat to give in moderation maybe. Just my preference. Also please anyone that may think it is not safe or has heard other things let me know so I can keep my hamster happy and healthy!
Rabbits cannot eat corn
Please read what your animal can eat before giving this to them. This should not have a rabbit on the packaging
Tippy, my rat, loves these corn pops. I dont pop them in the microwave. He enjoys just chewing the kernels off the cob,
Penelope loves these and the price is reasonable. It takes her several days to eat all the kernels off the cob.
Hamster devours them
The directions say to pop in 15 sec increments, we ended up at the 1min30sec to 1min15sec for popping. It will be a mess in your microwave, the popcorn flies everywhere. Our hamster devoured it, he seemed to perefer the uncooked kernels still on the cob but did eat everything. 1 cob was a lot for 1 hamster but I'm sure we could save the popped corn and give him a few over the next few days.
