Anyone using this as an overwinter insulation over substrate for tortoises and box turtles?

This orchard grass hay would be suitable to be used for tortoises and box turtles during the winter. It's recommended not to keep hay underneath direct light as it can overheat.

Very dusty and fine pieces, do not recommend

This hay is too small and fine for my guinea pigs. It is very dusty and has caused them to sneeze a lot. I will only get Oxbow hay for now due to the port quality of this hay.

Terrible quality

Very small pieces and mostly dust... doesnt seem fresh either. My rabbit will eat it, but it looks like garbage.

7 critter approval

3 guineas, a rat, 2 tortoises, and the pickiest bunny ever love this grass. My rabbit won't eat anything else.

Only 2/10 is edible!

More than half this bag is dust!! My piggies would not eat this. The straws are too short to eat and all I pull out of the bag are piles of dust. Will not be buying again. It's a shame because I love that Vitakraft's dry food has pea flakes in it, but this hay was a HUGE disappointment.

Wouldn't eat it

The pieces of grass were really short and messy. My guinea pigs refused to eat this and I had to make a special trip into town to get another brand.
