    Great for catnip hating cats

By Cici on Jun 13, 2017

I have two kitties who love catnip, and one who actively avoids products with any hint of it. These purrk! Silvervine toys are the only ones he actually loves! I have bought the mouse several times, as it gets chewed up within a month, but tried the bird this time. Just as big of a hit!

    My kitties love this!

By Badkitty on May 18, 2017

Neither of my Siamese kitties respond to catnip which is a huge bummer, and one chews up all his soft toys and swallows the insides (and then gets nasty hair balls) so cat toys in our house are now limited to plastic springs and wand toys. I ordered this toy hoping one or the other would like it and they went nuts! Also it can't be chewed up and digested; a big plus! Recommend highly for kitties like mine!

    My Cat Loves It!

By Victoria on May 30, 2017

My cat, Athena, likes catnip, but prefers this ten times over! The only complaint I have is the eyes seemed to pop off. I do not know if this is because my girl chewed them off or a defect in the toy.Otherwise, durable and gives her tons of playtime with a cute toy.

    A toy loved by many!

    By KittyCatMommy on Jul 30, 2016 top50Contributor

Aside from Yeowww! catnip toys, most of my cats have super different taste in toys and what one or three will play with, the others will ignore... Most of my 15 cats are very interested in these toys, even though they are so not what I thought they'd be interested in... since they are hard plastic and not catnip.. However, these toys are CONSTANTLY being assaulted by my cats and they love them SO much that I will continue buying them!! The silvervine is so different smelling & evokes such a different response than catnip, I think that's why they enjoy them so much!! We love them! :)

WARNING - Small beads inside toy

By AMPKnyc on Jul 19, 2016

My cat does not care about catnip but LOVES this toy. However, I just found a small plastic bead that came from this toy. My cat was able to chomp on the birds tail and open it up after many months of playing with it. I had to take it away. Surely this must be a chocking hazard and risks intestinal blockage if swallowed. I recommend this toy but at the same time think you need to monitor usage and take it away when they're done playing.

    hard plastic

    By jel99 on Jul 23, 2015

My cats don't like this toy. I thought my cats would enjoy this, but I assumed it was a normal plush cat toy. It is not - it is hard plastic! I think that is an important detail to not list about this product. Our male cat in particular likes to carry soft toys around. I would not have purchased it had I known it was made of a hard material.

Hard plastic & 2 cats lost interest after 30 minutes

By review on Apr 22, 2015

This little bird is made of hard plastic and has a few grains of Silvervine inside. There is no way to refill it and mine didn't come with additional Silvervine. My 2 cats were excited about it for 30 minutes and walked away. I've tried numerous times to entice them to play with it over the span of a couple of weeks and they will occasionally humor me with a sniff or two but refuse to engage with the bird. I also purchase two of the interactive Silvervine Perk toys and they came with a small packet of powder Silvervine and my cats could care less about those as well.

I have 4 cats (3 with a known catnip addiction) and none of them showed any interest in this toy.
