  • World’s pickiest dog LOVES this!

    By on

I have tried all sorts of freeze-dried raw food. With all other attempts, my 145 lb. Great Dane often just walks away from the bowl. It’s been challenging to find tasty food that she isn’t allergic to that she will actually eat in order to keep weight on her. She loves this food! I am so grateful for this!

I use this as treats for my rescue dog in classes. He does not do well with grain and is lactose intolerant. He is also 70# - a big boy who loves his Food! Works for us!

  • Great for a picky eater

    By on

I give it to my dog as a treat. He loves it. He is a picky eater and sometimes I need to add it to his regular kibble so he can finish his meal.

I absolutely love these! I do wish I could buy them in more bulk(5# would be nice) since I use them quite a bit in training.

  • Can't Resist

    By on

My dog absolutely loves this food. He does not hesitate to scarf it down and lick the bowl clean! I add warm water to the mini nibs which makes the food even more delicious. He has a very sensitive stomach and can't eat a lot of dog food or treats. This food totally agrees with him. Chewy offers the best price and delivers the food quickly.

  • First time is a big hit!

    By on

I thought that I would try this after reading the ingredients and use it as a supplement to her food, which is top quality. She loves her original food, but this food drives her wild. She loves it. I add a little water and wait five minutes or less, and it is ready to go. Highly recommended.

  • Good value

    By on

My dogs liked this, but because they are used to eating rehydrated freeze dried food - wet and mushy when served- they had a bit of trouble with the crunch. Even adding water does not make this food soft. I like the ingredients. No junk vegetables or fillers of any kind so I could feed less.

  • My 4 dogs LOVE Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw

    By on

We use as a topper and treats. We switch it up between the Beef and the Duck and they are both loved Equally. The texture is more like a Kibble-- not soft like other freeze dried product- makes it easy to carry when used as treats.

  • Buddy loves this food!

My fathers little Buddy has always had a sensitive stomach, changing him over to this food has been worth the extra cost since he hasn't gotten a case of sour stomach pukies since. Thank you Vital Essentials!

  • Great for dogs with sensitive stomachs

My dachshund mix (like most doxies, I'm sure) will eat anything and everything, and he's had frequent bouts of diarrhea on other foods. I was tired of seeing the vet only for a temporary situation and trying to track down a food that would help balance his system. So I decided to cut out all the filler formulas and go completely raw. I switched him over to VE cold turkey, and he has NEVER had diarrhea since. The results were instant. I've tried all the other VE protein sources, and I regularly switch them up on him without issue. Occasionally, I'll add in raw veggies (sweet potato, pumpkin, etc.) to give him a little extra.
