  • Freeze dry chicken is Great!

    By on

My puppy loved them, it was a great training tool. I would of wish the peices were bigger. Nevertheless I trained my puppy new tricks with it. I would love to buy a 1 lb bag. However I don't see the bigger size.

  • Not only for dogs, bigger bag good for cats too

I have a very, very finicky furball. King of the castle refuses to eat ANY crunchy type treats that daddy gives him, anyone else, he will eat it, but from daddy it needs to be a softer treat. Enter the Vital Essentials cat treats. While this bag is listed as a "dog" treat, it is exactly the same as the cat version, just a bigger bag, with slightly bigger pieces. The cat bag is 1 oz., whereas this dog bag is 2.1oz, for a small price difference that makes it well worth buying the dog version. At any rate, my little king loves these Chicken treats. On occasion he will also eat the freeze dried Minnows from time to time, & he also loves the freeze dried Chicken Giblets. He is rather strange in I have a very, very finicky furball. On occasion he will also eat the freeze dried Minnows from time to time, & he also loves the freeze dried Chicken Giblets. He is rather strange in that he doesn't like fish much, & isn't a big fan of other things like liver, turkey, rabbit, duck, etc., He primarily eats the Chicken ones. Every day, when I get out of bed, he goes straight to the kitchen, hops onto the counter in his same spot, & waits for his morning treats. At night when it's bed time, he does the same thing, as he knows every morning, & every night, daddy will give him a couple treats. If he had it his way, he would live on just these treats. Considering how healthy these are, it wouldn't be a bad thing, just a rather expensive thing lol. With these, & all VE treats, having only 1 ingredient, they are VERY, VERY good for your pet. I would recommend these to absolutely anyone, be it a dog, cat, whatever the pet, these are fantastic, top grade premium treats, without the crazy high premium price. Definitely worth it. … more

  • Big Hit!!!

    By on

I gave these treats to an Africa Serval I work with at an exotic wildlife reserve. He gobbled them right up. He also loves the minnows, but is not so crazy about the rabbit or bully sticks. I also work with a coyote who loves the rabbit & chicken. The hyenas love the bully sticks. Don't know what I'd do without the Vital Essentials treats.

This is really good for my dog who is really picky. They sell these at this organic dog store in my town but it runs 9.99$ so I always come here to buy them

  • Good Stuff

    By on

I have been giving my dog these treats for over a year now. She has a sensitive stomach and since this is just plain freeze-dried chicken she can handle it very well.

  • Your Dog will want more!

I have a year old border collie who has stomach issues. He is food motivated when I feed him these treats. You can either feed to them as a treat or sprinkle on top of their dry food to change up their meals. Highly recommended it literally is frozen chicken breasts. Highly recommend trying!

My boys eat this stuff like crazy! Perfect snack for yeast-compromised dogs that are restricted from starchy treats!

  • Great for training, but a lot of crumbs

    By on Top 500 Contributor

These were the 'boost' needed to keep my puppy's training moving along, and he loves them, however considering the price I expected to get more actual 'pieces' and less tiny little crumbs. How these tiny crumbs that make up half of what's in the package can be used for training or as any kind of treat at all is beyond me.
