  • My 3 Dogs Love These Patties!!

    By on

My three small dogs (shih tzus & a havanese) love these chicken patties! I break them up and put them on top of their Viral Essential mini nibs. They eat them as is so never tried to rehydrate them. Might eventually let them try rehydrated some day too. They are light and easy to break into pieces. My one older shih tzus has had multiple teeth pulled and has no problem gobbling these up!

  • Like chicken but will try beef next

Our dog just stopped eating kibble. Vet looked him over he was fine but he just would not eat kibble anymore. Treats of course yes. I was interested in raw so I figured let me try this especially since he needs to lose weight. He loves this stuff but oddly not rehydrated but he does drink plenty of water and gets broth as well. Since he just stopped eating kibble overnight I was not able to transition him slowly and was super worried about GI issues - must say stool stabilized within 3-4 days. This is a very good food. We will try beef next. Chewy as always was awesome. If you are thinking about raw I say go for it. • Our New #1 Freeze Dried Brand

    By on

Wow this brand is amazing! Patties are nice and fresh. MUCH easier to break up and rehydrate than the previous big name brands I've used. The ingredients are what you would expect to find in a raw meat product without all the filler veggies, etc. These even smell like real chicken to me too whenever I open the bag. My 12 lb Min Pin has been eating raw mixed with his kibble for years. No digestive upset whatsoever with this brand so far. Love it! Wish we had started using this one years ago!

  • Excellent! So happy I found this brand!

Vital Essentials has been perfect for my 3 1/2 year old Aus. Cattle Dog mix. I started feeding her VE a couple of months ago and after 3-4 weeks, she shed her old dull coat and now her coat silky and shiny! She's also reached and maintained her healthiest weight. My pup has tons of food allergies, specifically to the fruits and vegetables found in most premium quality dog foods. I rotate the different proteins (her favorites are chicken and beef) and add the fruits and veggies she isn't allergic to. We tried the VE nibblets first, but they are very hard and were tough for her to chew (she's 31 lbs). The patties have worked better for her. I honestly didn't expect to see such a definite difference switching my dog from kibble to freeze dried. It's more expensive but beyond worth it. I love seeing the results of a healthier dog. I wish I knew about this brand sooner! … more
