Texture and size were not what my cats were used to in treats.
By Jordan733 on Dec 5, 2020
I am marking these as recommended for others, as my cats have shown themselves to be terribly finicky lately. These may be wonderful to another cat or kitten. My cats all three found them to be uninteresting, but that could be my fault. They may be a little too used to the "cookie-like" treats that are more typical for cats. I donated them to a local rescue and they seemed welcomed there!

The cat LOVES these!!
By MaxandSam on Nov 6, 2020
I wasn’t very optimistic about these but they were on sale so I thought I’d give them a try. After some brief suspicious sniffing (she is a cat after all), my porky cat tried one, and after that she nearly grabbed the bag out of my hand! I had to hide them from her and take out only for the occasional treat time. The little cat wasn’t interested - no problem - more for fatty :)

Tends to be powdery
By Sheila on Nov 11, 2020
Our pets love the flavor of these giblet treats but the package contents tend to get easily crushed into a powder, instead of individual treats. We ordered one bag, and it arrived as a bag entirely of crushed treat powder. Chewy very kindly and promptly sent us a replacement bag, which was about 1/2 powder, 1/2 treats. Our cats went wild for the treats that we were able to extract from the bag, so the quality and flavor must be good. And we put the powder in an old parmesan cheese shaker bottle and use it as a food topper, so it didn't go to waste. But if you're looking for individual chunks that you can give to your pet as a treat, I would not recommend these. Disappointing
By CatMomCO on Nov 24, 2020
The rest of my VitalCat freeze dried treats were excellent. This bag was nothing but crumbles and a few huge chunks. Cats love the crumbles, but I will end up putting it on top of food because otherwise it’s a mess.

Healthy and delicious!
By sramenoodles on Dec 2, 2020
My kitty loves these. He will literally try to find the bag when I hide it and poke holes to try and steal some! It just kinda smells bad for us hoomans but probably the opposite for the cats

Cats LOVE but often arrive crushed...
By Abby on Nov 23, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
The cats LOVE these things. However, maybe Chewy could package them better? They often arrive pretty crushed & pulverized and the cats favorite are the big chunks.

a hit!!!!!
By Elliesmom on Aug 18, 2020
I was trying to find a "jackpot" treat that I could use to really motivate my newly adopted cat. She likes Temptations treats but wasn't going crazy over them. Well, she goes bananas for these. They are stinky and I don't love that I need to wash my hands after using them because they are a raw food, but it's totally worth it for how much my kitty loves them. She also likes the minnow treats from this brand, but these ones seem to be her favorite.

Brought out the hunter!
By Eevee on Sep 22, 2020
My cat is strictly indoors, but based on her reaction to feather toys and these treats I know the neighborhood birds would be no match. She kept stealing the bag of treats from the counter and even chewed a big hole to get to the contents! I am happy giving her something that is minimally processed too!

These are literal crack to my cat
By Zoey on Sep 14, 2020
I bought these as a healthier alternative to regular kibble-based treats and my cat absolutely loves them! He will come running and start purring as soon as he hears the bag rustle. I have to hide the bag from him or else he'll find it and try to chew it open.
