Questions & Answers

9 Customer Questions

Is there a difference between the ones for cats vs. dogs?
Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2018
The difference between the one for dogs and cats is the size of the bag.

What is the difference between the feline chicken hearts and the dog chicken hearts? Ingredients both say just chicken hearts...
Answer by ChewyApr 22, 2018
The size of the treats will differ, the feline treats are smaller.

What is the phosphorus content?
Answer by ChewyNov 06, 2018
The chicken giblet treat should be relatively low phosphorus as there is no bone in this treat. There are only two ingredients in this product and that's chicken heart and liver. Due to it only being a treat, the manufacturer doesn't have a full nutritional breakdown.

Is there any problem with rehydrating these treats?
Answer by ChewyOct 05, 2020
Rehydration is not required but is optional.

winner with both cats

I have a 1 year old wedge-head Siamese that hasn’t been taking to any dry treats. Loves wet food and wet treats but ignores kibble-like treats and the freeze dried minnows I previously got. I gave him one of these chicken hearts and he started gnawing away. I had to break it up with by hand but he loved it. My little calico ate hers up as soon as I broke it up for her, too. I thought, cool, a treat they both like. I walked away and found the package like this a few hours later. They REALLY like it. I guess this is a hide-in-a-drawer treat now.

Need more!

I initially forgot that I ordered this, until I saw our kitten run downstairs with a mysterious bag. Upon further inspection, he helped himself to some of the delicious chicken hearts! Thankfully, he only ate one and was able to give the rest of the fur babies a chance to try one. Well, let’s just say it’s a hit with our other cat and two dogs. So we will definitely ordering more in our next auto ship!

AMAZING!!!

My picky kitties went NUTS for these! I have to tuck them in a metal container to keep them from helping themselves! I have one kitty that loves raw chicken hearts but the rest of my spoiled, picky clowder turns noses up at them. Wanting them to have the health benefits I decided to give them a shot. Gone in SECONDS!! The only con...hence the 4 stars, is the cost. Wish they had bigger bags and a more reasonable price.

Tasty Treat

Wasn't sure about these when they arrived and my cats weren't either, but after a bit they played with and then ate it and they are enjoyed often now. Great item to have on my treat shelf.

it’s a yes!

I’m always looking for a way to add something different for my indoor cats. My picky boy wouldn’t touch these even if I broke them apart which isn’t surprising to me but my other boy LOVES them. I just throw a whole one on the ground and he eats it right up! I’m excited to try other things from this company!

cats LOVE it

My cats are both a little over 1 year old, they love these hearts. I cut them in half for my one cat, but my other cat had no problem eating it whole. He just knocked over the treat jar trying to get some more!

Great treats

My boys loved these treats, they get so excited when they see the bag. The only issue is the harts are pretty big, but I just cut them and they're perfectly fine.

Great meal additive or treat

Hearts are a little to big for my cats to eat efficiently so I ended up slicing them and adding it into a meal occasionally. they love them and its a great source for missing nutrients. The bag does contain some small hearts that I didn't need to chop up. I plan on adding this to my auto ship.

What a yummy treat!

I know our cat loves chicken hearts (I've made cheap food for her out of fresh ones before) so I knew she would like these. They are a healthy, proper feline obligate carnivore snack. She wasn't sure how to deal with them at first (they are a bit big for her little mouth) but she soon got the hang of them. There are quite a few hearts in the bag, although because they are dehydrated and very light, it might seem like a lot of $ for not much. But we think they are good value, especially if you don't want to feed your kitty carbohydrate-based junk.

Household Favorite

These are a real hit with my picky cat. Great way to incorporate some raw protein into her diet, and they are versatile too! I normally slice these up pretty thin and rehydrate them in warm water. Within a few seconds, the meat is tender and ready to serve. Sometimes, I crumble them on top of broth. Great bang for your buck too!
