    Great for allergies

    By on

Ordered this and while the patties were half dust, that's to be expected, one of my dogs is allergic to Chicken, Beef, Turkey, Salmon, Rabbit, Most fruits and veggies. This is literally the only food out there that I don't have to make from scratch, (and nulo 95% duck). It fills her up, her coat and body condition are amazing, and we love the convenience of this food, I wish it were a tad lower since it's ALL she can eat. Highly recommended!

    All sharp pieces of bone

    By on

My husband is a hunter, and couldn't even get any meat off these after soaking them. It says its for small dogs, but give me a break, what dog is going to want to eat that much bone. I called customer service, and they said they get alot of calls about this. I sent them pictures , and it was a total waste of time, worst customer service ever.

    unfortunately disappointed

    By on

Arrived completely crumbled and when you hydrate you can find very large pieces of bone, of course bone is common in freeze dried food, but these pieces were so large that it was concerning.

    No duck thank you

    By on

I absolutely love chewy, however the duck mini patties were bad. It was like a bag full of dusty cobwebs they were all crushed. If you look at my history you'll see that I have shopped with you a great deal with no complaints. I placed an order recently and am very pleased. But I didn't order any duck! I threw it out because the dogs wouldn't eat it. Thank you for your time.

excellent raw food for my dogs!!

    By on

What I really like about this brand is that it’s a single source of protein. it’s not packed with all kinds of other vegetables and starches as a binder, just straight meat. I bought the duck and the turkey and both my labs just absolutely love it ! I break up the patties and sprinkle on their kibble as a topper.

    another hit at meal time

    By on

My baby loves this flavor like many of the other Vital Essentials lines. I’m giving it a 5 star rating not because she gobbles it up (since that’s an individual dog preference) but because I think they have gold quality foods and I can pronounce and trust all the ingredients. I like that nothing is sourced from China.

    Perfect for traveling

    By on

My English Bulldog eats primarily frozen raw but it's not practical to travel with so we bring Vital Essentials Duck and Beef patties on vacations. 2 bags will only last a week for a 54 lb dog so it's pricey but well worth it for the quality ingredients and ease of use. I break up the patties by hand (scrub hands afterward, it's raw) and mix with water. I have no problems getting him to eat anything at all, little piglet, but he really seems to enjoy this food.

Most of the patties are broken

    By on

My dog eats a rotation of freeze dried raw patties from a few different companies. She likes the beef flavor from vital essentials and while she does like this flavor as well the majority of the patties are broken in to dust. They are very soft and crumbly. We'll use them up and not purchase them agian.
