  • Elderly Dog with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

    By on

My 14-year-old Boston Terrier has been refusing to eat and vomiting. She was just diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. She is doing better with eating Vital Essentials (put her on it before she started medication for IBS). I've tried many, many foods.

  • Picky Yorkie

    By on

Yorkie wouldn’t eat any type of dog food. Lost weight and I ended up feeding him eggs most of the time. Started Vital Essentials and had to get a Gobble Stopper bc he was eating so fast he would get sick! Yorkie happy = me happy.

  • Dogs love it...

My dogs go crazy for these duck mini nibs. I have three Border Collies so I'm not using this as their regular food, way to expensive, but I use them for healthy training treats instead.

  • Dogs Think This is the Best Food Ever

    By on

My dogs are in love with this food. They go nuts for Vital Essentials. This is their second flavor, and they love both this and the beef flavor. I can't believe how much they love this brand compared to other raw and freeze-dried brands. I'm so glad I found this stuff, and I hope it keeps our Chi and Chi/Pug mix healthy. The only issue I've had with this specific product is it seems practically impossible to get the "Mini Nibs" to rehydrate. I guess that's okay for them, since they seem to enjoy the change in texture compared to the other freeze-dried foods they get. My Chi seems to take a while to get these pieces crunched down, probably because she has such a small mouth.

  • Vital Essentials - My boys love this!

    By on

I purchased the Vital Essentials duck mini nibs & also the beef. My two dogs love both of them. I mix the mini nibs with their dry food to add extra nutrition. It is nice to be able to offer them raw nutritious food without all of the prep.

  • My picky dog LOVES this food

    By on

I can load up her food puzzles for brain stimulation/meals and it stays nice until eaten due to freeze dried process. also nice little bits that fit in the puzzles- there are a few bigger pieces that I just break in half. And my little 12 pound poodle mix absolutely loves this stuff! Finally a good raw food solution. And her poops are small, firm and formed- easy to pick up ( no more runny or smooshy poo)

  • Jumps and turns in circles

    By on

Mt 7 lb. morkie goes absolutely nuts for this food! He jumps and turns in circles when it is feeding time! The only problem is getting him to slow down when eating it. I have only tried the duck flavor, but will perhaps try the beef next. It absolutely works as a treat as well. It is a great variety in texture to his evening meal of honest kitchen dehydrated, which he also loves!

  • Nutritious ingredients without all of the junk & fillers

    By on

Great food! Seems to be healthy & whole ingredients without all of the junk & filllers. My dog is CRAZY for this food! She starts licking & jumping at her food bowl before I can put it on the ground for her. It's on the pricey side, so, I can only afford to feed my smaller dog this food. The bigger dogs get raw food from a different brand/source.

  • Crumbs and crushed

    By on

The last two orders I’ve received from Chewy have been crushed, causing the food to have large amount of crumbs. Two orders ago UPS lost 1/2 the order and I had to call Chewy to resolve the issue. They may be geeting too large to worry about customer service.
