Odd smell, my cat wont eat it

I order three packs of this flavor, and my cat dislike it. Not to mention one of these packs has really bad smell.

observe for a week

My kitten is a four months old boy. He willing to finish it when I help him cut the food to smaller pieces. Up to now, he can clean the plate every time.

I love the product at first

My cats love Vital essential so much. I bought 5 pack of duck flavor mini nibs this time I find out some is not as crunchy as before. Seems like having some problem with the packaging.

Vital Essentials

I have purchased the duck entree in cat and dog version, my dog eats The Farmers Dog, and I put the Vital Essentials in what would be her dry food bowl.. (She really only had dry food as a puppy) she eats it if she's hungry. My kitties have just transitioned from Stella And Chewys freeze dried duck duck goose entree as of last week. They seem to be doing well. They are transitioning from Just Cats (cat version of Just Food For Dogs) to Darwins raw as we speak. I don't think my cat with Hyperthyroidism is eating the Vital Essentials, that I've seen.. But my other 3 are liking it.

Very cronchy

Are these nibs supposed to be stone hard? I had to smash them with a spoon and then hydrate them for my 2 senior boys. But, the upside... my guys love these!

Cats love it

My picky cat has been enjoying it so far. I purchased this to address his ongoing IBS issues and while it's too soon to say whether it's helping with that, it's an A+ with both cats.

Great for my Senior cat! Pre-Diabetic, elevated kidney issues, Please READ!

3 years ago, my cat was urinating more often than usual. My vet ran some tests & found that she may be pre-diabetic & wanted to start her on insulin & a rx cat food. (The ingredients are HORRIBLE! I did not buy it or start her on the insulin). Her kidney values were also slightly elevated. I already researched that dry cat food is NOT good for cats and the RX cat food is made with cheap junky fillers. I switched her to a pate' high quality canned food, which I get from Chewy. I went back to the vet 2 weeks later for new tests and guess what?!! All of her levels were now normal! Thank goodness I researched this, if not she would be on insulin and RX cat food and maybe not doing as well. In the last year, I introduced my cat to the Vital Cat Line of Nibs and Patties due to the ingredients and the fact they are freeze dried with all the great ingredients cats need. There are different flavors but my angel loves the Duck. How to introduce your cat...This is important, like many new buyers to freeze dried, there are steps to slowly introduce your cat to these products. I was disappointed when I followed the instructions, saw my cat sniff and walk away. I had high hopes. But I didn't give up. SHE LOVES THIS NOW & devours it!! With the mini nibs, I use a small hammer to gently squash the nib, as this releases the smell and flavor. I leave a few nibs not squashed so they can assist with cleaning her teeth and gums. I mix the nibs with the Patties, which I crumble into the same bowl. This is now her food that is left out all day for her to nibble on. I also add 5 drops of the kidney support gold, which I get from Chewy. (I add these drops because she's a senior and it truly helps my cat with keeping her kidneys well). I just take a fork or spoon and mix together the dry nibs and patties with the drops of kidney support gold. For the pate wet canned cat food, she gets this twice a day. I take 1/2 a patty of the Vital Cat patties and crumble it into shreds with my hand into 1/2 can of the wet pate' canned food. I also add 5 drops of the kidney support gold into her wet cat food. She doesn't eat the whole bowl at once, so I just put it back into the fridge when she walks away and reuse it for her 2nd meal and top it off when needed. Every year, for her senior check up with full panel testing, the vet says she is doing amazing!! Try crumbling the nibs and/or patties, it works!! No junky fillers and good things for your cat's body!

This food is too good

My cat is obsessed with the treat form. Can't leave the bag out. He will chew through it. I tried other flavors. Nope didn't like them. My fiance bought this to try cuz why not. He freaked out. In a good way when we opened the bag he was demanding us to give it to him while we were figuring out how to rehydrate it. The second I set it down he was gulping it down like he was a 3rd world starving victim. Immediately demanding more. I made the mistake of leaving the bag out till I got off work the next day and he knocked the bag off the fridge and chewed through the bag eating half of it. This food is to good. Only buy if you can replace frequently. My cat will be mad when he finds out that it will run out before the weeks up and he's not getting more till next payday.
