    My cats LOVE this!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

They devour this as it is (dry). I'm trying to get them used to the smell of it rehydrated by mixing it with their wet food and a bit of water. Would love to be able to feed this (and the rabbit patties) as both their wet food and their (overnight) dry food. Hopefully, they'll transition easily. Since some people have mentioned the package getting crushed, I'm going to put one dry patty in my blender to make it crumbs, then measure it out to see how much in crumbs equals one patty. Then, if it arrives crushed in the future, I can just measure out what I need and use that rehydrated. Won't be able to give it to them dry that way, though. If it becomes a constant problem, I'll have to buy this They devour this as it is (dry). I'm trying to get them used to the smell of it rehydrated by mixing it with their wet food and a bit of water. My Cat Loves These!

Knowing I am feeding my cat the best there is for her and seeing how she gobbles it up is a "Win-Win!" I hydrate them with water and viola! She loves this flavor too!

    5-Star food!

    By on

My two old kitties love these, crumbled over their dry food with bone pieces removed as my boy has no teeth and my tiny girl has only five. Their favorite is duck because it is smoothest, but they will eat the rabbit and turkey. All their other foods become "blah" and invevitably rejected, but Vital Essentials treats and Mini Patties are consistently devoured and are excellent nutrition.

    No complaints

    By on Top 100 Contributor

One of my cats has experience with raw and freeze-dried foods while another has always been a little iffy on it. This was the first food the picky one ate without much hesitation. She didn't like it with too much water added so I only put in a little bit for her but both of them were big fans at dinner time! This also works great as a topper for canned food.

Sachiko loves her some duckies patties!

    By on

My cats absolutely love their patties! These are a favorite of Miss Sachiko! I just pour a little (very) hot water over them, wait until soft, chop and serve! It’s their favorite meal of the day!

    Cat with stomatitis loves this

    By on

My 4yo cat was diagnosed with stomatitis last year and we've had a rough time getting it under control even after having her back teeth extracted. We finally figured out that poultry causes it to flare up so now she eats only VE duck and rabbit which she loves. We've tried some canned limited ingredient duck/rabbit foods but she much prefers the VE duck and rabbit, bones and all. I had ordered a few bags of VE turkey patties and when we took her off of poultry I called Chewy.com to find out how to return them. Not only was I given a full refund but I also did not have to go through the hassle of returning the food. I was thrilled to say the least - I can't recommend Chewy.com highly enough My 4yo cat was diagnosed with stomatitis last year and we've had a rough time getting it under control even after having her back teeth extracted. Cats LOVE Duck Entree

    By on

I crumble this pati with fingeres and pour two table spoons of natural bone broth. Cats LOVE this food. It doesn’t have added taurin though so just as a precaution I give them other foods that are supplemented with Taurin. This product doesn’t have added vitamins except tocopherol either. Given that most of the commercial cat foods have a long list of vitamins and minerals added, I appreciate this product to give my cats liver a bit of rest. This food is as natural as it can be next to making your own cat food

    Not Liked by My Cats

    By on

I love this brand of cat food, but each time I try something other than the rabbit patties it’s a fail. They love the rabbit. But the duck was a waste of money.

    Cats like it

Rehydrates much better than the nibs...which really don't rehydrate at all. Cats seem to like it whenever I put it down. 4 stars because of the ridiculously high price.

All we get are crumbs !

    By on

I’m so annoyed. My cats and I love this food but we tend to get crumbs and not whole patties ! I have 4 cats, and to try and figure how much to give is a pain! There is supposed to be 18 patties which should last 1 of my cats about 15 days....
